Wright-Way Rescue is a no-kill shelter that rescues animals from the surrounding Southern Illinois area. Wright-Way began their operations with only two individuals in an rented out office building in Crab Orchard, IL. Since then Wright Way has grown to approximately 30 employees with a 3.5-acre facility that provides state-of-the-art sheltering for animals. A part of Wright-Way mission is to go to local, traditional shelters, animal control centers and other overcrowded facilities and rescue animals that are at risk of being euth-anized.

At Wright-Way Rescue we ease the burden of animal control establish-ments by visiting their facilities and pulling adoptable dogs and cats that are at risk of being put to sleep. These animals are then readied for adoption at our facility in Southern Illinois and later transported to our North Shore Hu-mane Center in northern Illinois. In 2004, we provided 800 dogs, cats, pup-pies, and kittens with shelter, spay/neuter surgeries, and adoptive homes. We have grown to provide a second chance at life to approximately 4,000 ani-mals yearly through our busy adoption program.

Wright-Way Rescue is a purposeful and passionate no-kill animal shel-ter that recognizes the need for homeless animal care in the Midwest. Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets euthanized in the Midwest each year through an adoption program, community education, promotion of spaying and neutering, and a veterinary medicine program. Wright-Way Res-cue continues to save pets from rural animal control facilities where they are at a high risk of euthanasia, and instead offer them a second chance at a loving home in the Chicagoland area and in southern Illinois. We place more dogs in adoptive homes than any other no-kill rescue in the State of Illinois on just 10% of the budget.

Without your support, we cant rescue defenseless animals from eutha-nasia. We cant ensure their safety, a warm bed, and a family to love. But with your help, we can!
