Confirmation Question to Inspector of Mines: If I read this correctly age would not preclude anyone from enrolling in Cert. IV, Diploma and Adv. Dip. Underground mining & management ops, VOC' etc.“ Response from Inspector of Mines: They could enroll in anything they want, but I guess it’s up to the Mine if they would employ someone in those higher level positions without suitable experience. I’m sure we would challenge their actual competency if they were employing workers into those type of positions with just a certificate in hand. In saying that some site run like a graduate program for potential supervisors or managers and this training is part of a bigger training and development plan while the worker is being mentored onsite. (mainly see it in Quarries)

and request a written reply (email is fine) • Confirm admission and entry requirements are accurate • Ensure that any partnering arrangements are clearly
