5 years. WAITING FOR THE SUN is democratizing wooden eyewear for now 5 years. Launched late 2009, the range was something like a revolution: Wooden sunglasses for an affordable price.At first only available in selected concept stores worldwide, W/SÜN are now also in optical stores who wanted to offer a fashionnable, affordable and unique range.For this 5th anniversary, we reloaded the full collection always thinking about in-novative.Thanks for those 5 past years, we can’t wait to celebrate the 10th birthday with you.
Waiting for the Sun, is not only an eyewear brand: Waiting for the Sun is the story of friends who, in 2009, took up the challenge to produce sunglasses made of wood after 2 years of research and development. Waiting for the Sun was born from a reflection about the urban daily life and, thank to natural materials, has re-interpreted accessories codes. Waiting for the Sun is an expression of modern, sophisticated and relaxed city people. it is the meeting point of the contemporary trends and the vintage inspirations, a mix between the californian relaxed approach and the french sophistication. It is with this spirit that Waiting for the Sun launches its collection of wooden sunglasses, inspired by classics revisited and reinterpreted by their designers.
In 5 years Waiting for the Sun has become a singular brand with a universe of its own made of unique and original products. It is an ever evolving project, fed by a certain energy and creative freshness, expressing itself through a constant innovative research.Last year, W/SÜN launched its second collection: SLASH.SLASH is a hi-end acetate collection all handmade in France in the finest materials and in traditionnal factories.
5 ans. Voici donc 5 ans que WAITING FOR THE SUN oeuvre pour la démocratisation de la lunette en bois. Lancée fin 2009, la collection s’apparente alors à une mini révolution: des solaires en bois à un prix accessible. Dans un premier temps disponibles uniquement dans les plus grands concept stores autour du globe, les W/SÜN sont désormais aussi présentes chez les op-ticiens désireux d’offrir une gamme à la fois mode et au look réellement différent.Pour cet anniversaire, nous avons refondu la collection avec la volonté d’amener une grosse part d’innovation au service de l’univers si particulier de la marque.Merci pour ces 5 dernières années, nous sommes pressés de fêter nos 10 ans avec vous.
Waiting for the Sun n'est pas une marque de lunettes standard: Waiting for the Sun, c'est l'histoire de deux amis qui, en 2009, décident de relever le challenge de produire des lunettes en bois après 2 ans de recherches et développements. Waiting for the Sun se veut être l'expression des gens modernes, sophistiqués et relax. C'est la rencontre du vintage et des inspirations contemporraines, un savant mélange entre décontraction californienne et sophistication parisienne. L'esprit et les inspirations de W/SÜN résident en ceci.
En 5 ans, Waiting for the Sun a su devenir une marque singulière avec son propre univers et ses produits originaux. C'est un projet en constante évolution, nourri par une énergie et une créativité s'inspirant des recherches les plus innovantes.L'année dernière, W/SÜN a lancé le projet SLASH.SLASH est une gamme en acétate, faite main en France dans les matériaux les plus élégants et une façon impéccable grâce à un savoir-faire traditionnel cher à la marque.
