What Starts Here Changes The World!

Happy New Year! The holiday season is behind

us. Please make sure your

children continue to

exercise their reading &

math skills daily!

Our 2nd grade students will be working on the

following things this month:

ELA- Describe how characters respond to major

events/challenges and write narratives.

Math- Add up to (2) two-digit numbers and (4) two-

digit numbers using strategies based on Place Value

and Properties of Operations, and Add/Subtract within

1000 using Concrete Models.

Social Studies- Georgians and Civil Rights (Jackie

Robinson, Martin Luther King Jr., and Opportunity

Cost).

Science- Instruction will resume in February.
