Basics of soil science
- Soil genesis, properties and soil functions, (soil pH and redox properties, sorption and cation exchange, anion exchange)- Soil erosion and soil structure, soil water- Soil protection and legislative requirements
Subjects (Group 2)
Pollutants in soilInorganic pollutants, organic pollutants, risk assessment, binding and mobility of inorganic pollutants, binding and mobility of organic pollutants, bioavailability and toxicity
Subjects (Group 3)
Case studies- Radionuclides contamination with focus on 137Cs derived from the Tschernobyl fallout- Heavy metal contamination in historic mining areas- Waste rock piles – renaturation and possible contaminations of soils - N-input to forest soils
