Goals for this Presentation
• Share our experiences of working with ESL students and their writing
• Provide resources to help build the confidence and language skills of ESL students

Gaggle E-Mail and Reading Response Letters
• ESL students used their Gaggle e-mail accounts to write Reading Response Letters.
• E-mails were sent to me and I responded to them through e-mail.

• Allow communication and commentary by all class members.
• Teacher control of access. Moderate comments before posting and delete them after posting.

• Wikis provide online collaborative environments for writing.
• No need to pass the computer of the paper around the room.
• Easily copy and paste to other applications or environments.

If You Can’t Use A Wiki…
• Discussion boards provide a similar tool to wikis.
• They are not collaboratively editable.
• Can copy and paste to simulate a wiki environment.
