(Future) Autobiography Cover Assignment

You are NOT writing an autobiography. You will be creating the front and back cover to your future autobiography/book of memoirs (think age 50-70ish).

Fold your paper Veggie Burger (not Tofu Dog) style.

On the Front Cover, include:1. An Engaging Title which reveals something about what you hope to have

accomplished in your life.2. The author’s (your) name.3. Cover art: Pic of you, drawing, graphics, or some combination which represents the

tone you are trying to establish for your autobiography (and, by extension, your life).

On the Back cover:4. Typed Blurb: Approximately 150 – 250 words about the text (just like the paragraph

on the back of a book that makes you want to read it or put it back on the shelf).5. (Honors only) Critic’s or significant person’s quotation about the book, you, or both.

Must fit the tone, topic, and be from a source that makes sense for your book.

Alternative Advanced assignment:

Do this for a character from one of your stories or a character you make up, and include two significant quotations.
