Welcome to Orchestra Iowa’s 2020-21 Season! Orchestras around the world are celebrating 250 years of the genius that is Ludwig van Beethoven. At Orchestra Iowa, we will honor his legacy through the unique lens of his Czech patron, Joseph Franz von Lobkowicz, whose support garnered Beethoven’s dedication of many of his most iconic symphonies and chamber music. Join us all season as we explore the Lobkowicz Collection and honor the Czech heritage responsible for so many musical masterpieces.

Kick off your Halloween weekend with everyone’s favorite paranormal investigation and elimination team. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis star as the eccentric parapsychologists who start a ghost-catching business in New York City. See the film with its iconic music performed by Orchestra Iowa in the Paramount one night only!

Celebrate the holidays with Maestro Tim Hankewich, Orchestra Iowa, and special guests from Cedar Rapids hit band TRIBUTE. A special visit from the Jolly Old Elf himself and friends from the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale, Discovery Chorus, and more will make a festive start to the season for family and friends!

Walk the red carpet, charm the paparazzi, and celebrate the glitz and glam of Hollywood’s best-loved film scores! Hear the music by audience favorites like John Williams and Ennio Morricone whose creative scoring turned good movies into blockbuster cinematic masterpieces.

Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Pat Metheny – guitarists who inspired generations with their classic rock and stunning riffs. Jeans ‘n Classics joins Orchestra Iowa for a rock show at the Paramount paying tribute to these legendary artists and more!

Ballet Quad Cities and Orchestra Iowa team up to present Tchaikovsky’s delightful holiday tale at the Paramount Theatre. Bring family and friends to cheer on the Nutcracker in his battle with the Rat King, and be swept away to the Land of Sweets
