Exercise 1 : Let’s practice! Read the text and do the activities. You don’t need to understand the text to do the activities!

Sonia’s first week at school,

On Monday, I arrived late at school. Consequently, the history teacher gave me some extra homework.

On Tuesday, I was going into the cafeteria when I discovered that I’d forgotten my money! Fortunately, Rebecca gave me £5 and I could buy a sandwich.

On Wednesday, in Math, my favourite subject, I did the wrong exercise, so the teacher was furious and I looked like an idiot when I went to correct the exercise on the whiteboard.

On Thursday, I had a little accident during the football match and I had to go to the hospital.

Finally, on Friday, the English teacher gave us our English tests back and I had 5/20! My mum and dad will kill me!!!

1- Take a red pen to underline all the days of the week (les jours de la semaine). 2- Circle all the names (friend, family, teachers…). (3)
