Everyone take 4 Postit note pieces of paper.
Write an example of an equation in slope intercept form on your first Postit note.
Write an example of an equation in slope point form on your second Postit note.
Write an example of an equation in standard form on your third Postit note.
Write an example of an equation in general form on your last Postit note.
Put your equations under the proper category on the board.

6.6 General Form
Slope YIntercept Form y = mx + bPoint Slope Form y y1 = m(x x1)
General Form ax + by + c = 0
In general form, a, b and c must be integers (no fractions or decimals allowed)
The order of the term is important....x must be first, then y followed by the constant.
We always try and keep the coefficient of "a" positive this helps us determine which side of the equation ALL terms must be on.

Finding X and Y intercepts
X Intercepts
1. set y = 0
2. solve for x
3. write as ordered pair
(__, 0)
Y Intercepts
1. set x = 0
2. solve for y
3. write as ordered pair
