Releases (Wr will get back on stem after every release) Stack- Wr will get off line and fight to get on top (back on stem). Pull through- Wr will release one direction to get DB off balance then slice back the other direction, possibly pulling the DB off balance. Speed - Wr will just move out of way of the pad, trying to have as little contact as possible. Step Even - Wr will step to a balanced position, then release to side opposite DB. (using swim or rip move to knock down jam) Step Even (Dbl)- Wr will step to a balanced position, release to side opposite DB, turn his shoulders then slice back to other side (pull through my be used) Step Even (Tri)- Wr will step to a balanced position, release to side opposite DB, step hard back towards DB to get off balance then hard back away from DB (pull through my be used) 2 nd Level Jam- Wr will drive off line then prepare Step Even release 3yds away from DB. (If possible release to side of desired route)

WR DRILLS

Start and Stance

Takeoffs - Wr will get in a proper stance and jog off line, eliminating any false steps and movements.

Releases (Wr will get back on stem after every release)

Stack- Wr will get off line and fight to get on top (back on stem).

Pull through- Wr will release one direction to get DB off balance then slice back the other direction, possibly pulling the DB off balance.

Speed - Wr will just move out of way of the pad, trying to have as little contact as possible.

Step Even - Wr will step to a balanced position, then release to side opposite DB. (using swim or rip move to knock down jam)

Step Even (Dbl)- Wr will step to a balanced position, release to side opposite DB, turn his shoulders then slice back to other side (pull through my be used)

Step Even (Tri)- Wr will step to a balanced position, release to side opposite DB, step hard back towards DB to get off balance then hard back away from DB (pull through my be used)

2nd Level Jam- Wr will drive off line then prepare Step Even release 3yds away from DB. (If possible release to side of desired route)

Hands Off- Wr will push DB’s hands off him while running down field.

Deep Leverage- Wr will use elbow over technique to gain leverage on a D in tight coverage on a deep route. (could be used also to help stack DB)

Route Running

Posture- (see diagram 1). Wr will jog and break down on cone. Then back pedal to the next, then once again jog and break down on the next, etc…

Post Cut- (see diagram 2). Wr will jog fading out before each cone giving a head fake.

Speed Cut- (see diagram 3). Wr will jog to each cone rounding off into the break.

Man Cut- (see diagram 3). Wr will jog to each cone breaking down, planting and giving a head fake at each cone.

Foot Fire- (see diagram 4). Wr will take as many small steps as possible before cone, then plant on cone changing direction stepping with the correct foot, etc. (45 and 90 degree)

Step Correct- (see diagram 5). Wr will jog to cone plant and step with correct foot heading to next.

Hard Angle Break- (see diagram 6) Wr will jog to cone break down, plant and drive down to next cone.

4 Cone Curl, Out and Hitch- (see diagram 7). Wr will jog pass cone break down, plant and come back for catch. Once catch is made Wr must turn up alley.

Box - (see diagram 8a and 8b). Wr will jog to each cone lean on DB plant and cut to the next.

Top of stem Speed Cut- Wr will jog to each cone rounding off into the break.

Top of stem Curl- Wr will jog pass cone break down, plant and come back for catch

Carry to Depth- Wr will lean against DB carrying him to breaking point then breaking down, planting and pushing off, coming back to ball. (curl, out, slant).

Find the hole- (see diagram 9) Wr will run route as if it were open, find defender waiting and settle in zone.

Duck Under- Wr will jog next to DB right before breaking point Wr will let DB slightly pass, then at breaking point push and come underneath on desired route. (Out, Curl, Slant, Hitch)

Push Off- Wr will jog next to DB, on the desired side of route to be ran, right before breaking point Wr will lean against Db then using elbow push off accelerating into route.( Out, Curl, Slant, Hitch)

Ball Drills

Straight- Wr will jog towards Qb with hands clasped behind back until ball is thrown. (Chest, Bounce, Low (hands not clasped))

Cross- Wr will jog cross field (use any move simulating getting free)(Chest, Bounce, Low)

One hand- Wr will jog down field catching ball with one hand.

Two hand- Wr will jog down field catching ball with two hands.

Over Top- Wr will jog down field catching ball thrown directly over his head.

Fade to ball- Wr will jog down field catching ball thrown over outside shoulder (exaggerate throw)

Carioca- Wr will carioca to the cone the break to desired route (Out, In, Curl, Comeback, Post, Corner).

Round about- (see figure 10). Wr will circle cones looking for ball after every turn. Qb will constantly throw ball on every turn.

Run After Catch

Step aside- (see figure 11). Wr will catch ball run full speed , and perform desired move.

Ladder Drills

Two feet straight- Wr will advance through ladder stepping both feet in every square

Two feet side- Wr will advance through ladder side ways stepping both feet in every square

Two feet diagnol- Wr will advance through the ladder crossing diagonally placing both feet in evry square.

One foot in- Wr will alternate placing one foot in every square (both feet must hit every square.

Two feet in- Wr will step both feet in and out every box.
