SUMMARY OF THE MAY 2019

GENERAL MEETING

What a fascinating and eye opening luncheon meeting in

May!! Mrs. Hansberger, our guest speaker from the Legal

Immigrants for American Organization (LIFA), shared about

about USA immigration abuse, including the problems it

creates: for example: terrorism, spreading of diseases,

illegal crime waves and we are all victims. Karen Brown,

WORWF member, commented after the meeting that “the

information was powerful and Americans know very little,

and they must know the facts! The 14th Amendment is very

misunderstood and the rule of law must rule! Illegal immi-

gration does not improve our country. We must be brave

and it is our duty to stand up to this very difficult situation!”

Katie Dunagan, WORWF Americanism Chair, spoke about the History of the Star Spangled banner and then showed a 10 minute video about the Flag.

We honored a very special member, Shirley Sims, for her dedication to the WORWF; Shirley is moving to Georgia be closer to her daughter.

CLUB NEWS

On May 18th, a Training session was held for members

and District Chairs. Robert Olszewski attended the meeting and congratulated the elected OCREC District Chairs.

WORWF Club members pose with our Edgewood Chil-dren’s Ranch donations—Breakfast theme.

Karen Brown shared her thoughts about Katie’s

presentation: “It was very inspiring. Although I

knew the story, there were facts in her presentations

that were new to me. Her talk helped us “feel” the

emotions of the situation and how very important it

was to the Early Americans to see their flag still fly-

ing through so much struggle and heartache! God

was certainly with them through all their sacrifices.”
