Auditions July 11th

What to Expect

How should I prepare for my audition? Rehearse the two songs attached and know them well! Chord sheets are attached for your

convenience. You will be placed with a full band comprised of veteran worship team members

and fellow auditioners.

What happens at my audition? -Arrive on time if not a little early-Get in ears from the worship leader*-Get set up and plugged in on stage-Pray with group-Follow the directions of the worship leader on stage-Play through the songs

*Remember there are people auditioning before and after you. Please be mindful of everyone’s time

and stay on task while on stage and be ready when you are called.

What Happens Next? Everyone who auditions will be contacted via email within a week with one of the following responses: 1) You have been invited to join a Transit Worship Team for the fall. You will receive

information soon about scheduling and practice times.2) We have an opportunity for you to use your gifts in another ministry. This could be because

we've run out of spots in this ministry, or because there is a greater need somewhere else. We have passed your information on to the leader of that ministry to contact you about serving.

3) Your talents and gifts do not line up with the current needs for the worship ministry. We cannot offer you an invitation onto the team at this time. NOTE: If we say "no," that doesn't mean "never," "you're not good enough," or "quit playing music."

*NOTE: In middle school and high school we use AVIOM in ear monitor system in order for you

to better hear yourself and the rest of the band. We provide students with the ear buds for this.

Some students opt to use their own ear buds instead of the ones we provide. I do not have a

problem with this so long as they are “in ear” and not “over the ear”, are noise canceling, and

work with our system.

What if I'm super nervous for my audition? This is normal! Do your best to prepare, and let the rest up to God. Pray before your audition! And

remember this is supposed to be fun!
