Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder will be standing next to the pastor following the service.

A leader will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Parents of children in pre-k through second grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11 a.m. worship service.

†The Call to Worship ..............................................................................from Psalm 84How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty!
My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord;My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
The Lord be with you.
And with your spirit.Let us worship God!
I want Jesus to walk with me. I want Jesus to walk with me. All along my pilgrim journey I want Jesus to walk with me. In my trials, Lord, walk with me. In my trials, Lord, walk with me. When my heart is almost breaking, Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.

†Gloria Patri ...............................................................................................................St. Peter
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell.* The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic** church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ..........................................................1 Peter 2:24He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
The Personal Confession of Sin (Please kneel if able to do so)
The Confession of Sin
Heavenly Father, you asked for my hands, that you might use them for your purpose. I gave them for a moment, then withdrew them, for the work was hard. You asked for my mouth to speak against injustice. I gave you a whisper, that I might not be accused. You asked for my eyes to see the pain of poverty. I closed them, for I did not want to see. You asked for my life, that you might work through me. I gave a small part, that I might not get too involved. Lord, forgive my calculated efforts to serve you—only when it is convenient for me to do so, only in those places where it is safe to do so, and only with those who make it easy to do so. Father, forgive me, renew me, send me out as a usable instrument, that I might take seriously the meaning of your cross. Amen.

The Offertory—Moses! .......................................................................................Kook
Moses, a baby in a basket, floatin’ down the river. Moses, grew up to be a leader, a chosen man. God spoke to Moses in the land of Midian. From a burnin’ bush he heard him callin’. “Watch where you’re walkin’. Don’t come any closer now. Moses, you’re standin’ on holy ground.”
God said to Moses, “I have heard my people cry. Down in Egypt land they are agroanin’.You are the man they need, I’m gonna tell you why. Get down to Egypt and I’ll go along.”
“Lord, don’t you know I am not who you think I am. Don’t make me go! I am not who you think I am. Lord, don’t you know someone else you can ask? I’m not the man you need. I’m not cut out to lead.” “Moses, you’re talkin’ to the Lord here. Listen to me, Moses. You gotta get on board here, so pack your bag.”
“Do what I tell you to do. You are talkin’ to the Lord. I have chosen you, better listen to me. Do what I tell you to do. You just gotta get on board, Get on board, so you do what’s right.” God said to Moses, “You can make him understand. When I’m done he’ll wish he’d listened to you.” God said to Moses, “You can make him understand. He will be glad when you get up and go.
“Blood in the water and hoppin’ frogs ev’rywhere. Gnats all around, lots of flies buzzin’ in the air. Death and destruction and hail from the sky, Locusts and darkness and babies will have to die.”
God said to Moses, “I have heard my people cry, But their cryin’ days are gonna end now. Pharoah has got more trouble than he bargained for. He will be glad when you get up and go.Moses, the promised land is waitin’. Listen to me, Moses, the promised land is waitin’. Get up and go.He will be glad when you get up and go. Better be on your way. No reason now to stay. This is your movin day. Get up and go, Moses!”

The Shorter Catechism, Question 96:
Q. What is the Lord’s Supper?
A. The Lord’s Supper is a sacrament in which bread and wine are given and received as Christ directed to proclaim his death. Those who recieve the Lord’s Supper in the right way share in his body and blood with all his benefits, not physically but by faith, and become spiritually stronger and grow in grace.
