Dec. 16 The Manger
Journey with Adam Hamilton as he travels from
Nazareth to Bethlehem in this fascinating look at the birth
of Jesus Christ. Rev. Hamilton once again approaches a
world-changing event with thoughtfulness. Using histori-
cal information, archaeological data, and a personal look
at some of the stories surrounding the birth, the most
amazing moment in history will become more real and
heart-felt as you walk along this road.
The Bible study will include a short DVD presentation
filmed in the Holy Land, appropriate Bible verses connect-
ed to each lesson, and questions for home study.

FINANCIAL REPORT How will we end up our giving for 2015, you decide! First of all, let me give a special thanks to everyone that gave to help pay off the Church Bus. It was remarkable to pay off the bus in the same year as the purchase. We received several small and large contributions from church members to help get this debt retired. Each contribution made was important to the success of the purchase. Now let’s take a look at where we are now on the giving to the General Budget for 2015. As of November 29, we have a deficit of $ 69,131.63 that is needed to fully fund the budget. You will soon receive a Statement of Giving from the church listing all contributions received by the church through November 2015. Please check your records to make sure they match the records of the church. In our last Finance meeting, it was noted that we have 75 giving units in the church that have made pledges for 2015. We added up the deficit from each weekly, monthly and annual pledging unit. If that total amount of around $ 50,000.00 is received by year end 2015 from all giving units, we estimate that we will be able to cover our expenses in the General Budget for 2015. It is extremely important that we give our pledged amount and more if possible to recover from our deficit. If you did not pledge for 2015 your contributions are just as important to our success. Please remember to make your pledge for 2016 in December. In closing, with your heart you will decide on where we will end up in 2015 for total contributions. Our contributions are changing lives! Merry Christmas. Rodney Dabbs Financial Chairperson

The Troop would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Pastor Bunn,
I wanted to say thank you for the generous check that I received in the mail this weekend. It is in no way expected or deserved, but greatly appreciat-ed. Our family love the people of Archdale UMC and felt as though sharing through music would be a way to show how God has worked in us over the last year. We believe in the church in Archdale and are extremely pleased to see and hear the transformation that is taking place under your leadership. My wife and I talk often about our experience at AUMC and there has been a hole in our hearts ever since our return to Ohio. For us it is refreshing to come back and visit, and we hope to have many opportunities in the future. I pray that God continues to use you to bring about His plan for change in Archdale. In Christ, Travis Qualls

STEPHEN MINISTERS CHRISTMAS PRAYER
Loving God,
The annual celebration of your incarnation in the form of Jesus approaches.
This should be a happy and blessed occasion.
Yet many people grieve the absence of one or more friends or family members whom distance, estrangement, incarceration, or death separate from them.
Bestow upon those who grieve the consolation of your Holy Spirit, that they may rejoice in your love and mercy.
We pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, fully human and fully divine. Amen.
