in Manhattan. Maurice was a homeless

11-year-old panhandler. He asked for

change; she kept walking. Then some-

thing stopped her, and she went back.

She continued to go back again and

again, forming a friendship that has

spanned almost three decades and

brought life to an over-scheduled profes-

boy. This book is in the Social

“The Connection: Living our Spiritual Heritage in a Modern World” Join Rev. Jeremy Lawson on Wednesday, August 19 and 26, from 6:30-8:30 pm, for a church membership class unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Together we’ll explore church history from the very begin-ning to our own local church history at Clayton 1st. We’ll take a church history walk, talk about the differences in our Christian denomina-tions, and cover important subjects like the sacraments, worship, and the most effective ways to develop your faith. Whether you’re looking to join the church or have been a member for years, this is a class you won’t want to miss. Space will be limited so make sure you sign up soon. You can email Kathy Garner in the church office ([email protected]) to register.
