We will visit six villages over three days to preach the Good News, minister healing and pray over and bless the villagers

The walkathon is a family friendly event themed on Singapore’s Bicentennial and SAC’s role across Singapore’s history. The route will include stops at historically significant points for participants to learn about the sites’ history through sharing sessions conducted by volunteers. Following from the screening of “Luther” the film last month, *Rev Peter

Cook from St Andrew’s Cathedral and Rev Martin Jungnickel will share their

thoughts on the topic “How Protestant Is The Anglican Church Today?”

Luther’s thoughts and teachings, as you know, sparked the Reformation

movement in 16th century Europe which itself led to many different

protestant movements. They challenged the Catholic Church as the sole

religious order for Christianity.

Rev Peter and Rev Martin will talk about the impact of the Reformation on

Britain and the theology, worship and structure of the Anglican Church, even

today.

There will be time for Qs & As after the presentation, and rounded off with

English Tea.

All are free to join us for a stimulating afternoon.

*Revd Peter Cook is Acting Associate Vicar at St Andrew's Cathedral. He and his wife Ineke have been at SAC for over 4 years, and in the Diocese over 13 years. Previously Peter was Vicar of Christ Church, Bangkok and Ineke served at the children and family ministry. They are Associate Mission Partners with Crosslinks UK. Revd Peter hails from England and is passionate about the history of his country.
