NEXT WEEK’S SERVANTS
Saturday 5/4 Sunday 5/5—9:00 a.m. Reader John Vandre Gary Schabacker
Acolyte Brianna Gonnerman Allison Dickey
For Next Weekend
For your preparation for next weekend,
please read and pray over the sermon text of
John 21:1-14, with the theme of "Now What
To Do?"
Confirmation On Sunday, May 12 we will conduct "The
Rite of Confirmation" during worship ser-
vice. We pray for and thank God for the
faith of our confirmands: Addison Friestad,
Dylan Gonnerman, Elijah Metzger and Jared
Warner.
Cards and Coffee will meet Friday, May 3 at 10am in the par-
ish nurse office. If you can assist with the
senior Christmas card outreach in any way,
please join in the fellowship. You do not
have to be especially talented—there are
many simple tasks that anyone could do.
Single Sunday will meet Sunday, May 5th at noon at the
Sunrise. This group is for widows, di-
vorced, never married, or just “single on
Sunday”. If interested in more information
contact the parish nurse office.
Needed We need someone or several volunteers
to mow the grass this year. They need to
be at least 18 years old to run the
mower. The mower is a zero turn type
mower. Please contact Bob Elliott if in-
terested at 815-751-2818 or the church
office at 815-562-2744.
Thank You Many thanks to all who served and par-
ticipated in our Lenten, Holy Week and
Resurrection services. As we journeyed to
the Cross and Tomb, we enjoyed and
benefited from the talents and love of oth-
ers. For the special banners, the Lenten
dinners, the talents of those who led wor-
ship, for the Easter lilies, the yard signs
and chancel changes. So much behind the
scenes work is done to provide all of us a
worshipful environment.

Welcome The joy and peace of the Resurrection brings us
together on "the Lord's Day" to celebrate the new
life and hope we have in the Messiah. While we
struggle with the evil and hatred of the world, we
have an immovable faith and hope in the Risen
Savior. This is the reason followers of Christ
come together to fellowship, study and worship.
We join with the faithful around the world, unde-
terred by the threats of terror and hatred, for we
are a new creation in Christ and live in Resurrec-
tion power and promise. The peace of Christ and
the gifts of His grace be with you.
Baptism We welcome into the family of faith, another
baptized child of God. We are pleased to add
Dakota Faith Casey to our family to enjoy all
the gifts and joy of forgiveness, life and salva-
tion. We thank our Lord as the Holy Spirit had
worked the miracle of faith and delivered the
mystery of grace and peace to little Dakota.
Dakota was born on November 15th to Jeff &
Brandi Casey. Henry & Cheryl Bunger and
Grant & Cherise Meadows are her sponsors.
Please Attend The Special Congregation Meeting is TODAY
(Sunday) after the 9:00 am service for the sanctu-
ary lighting proposal.
RADIO SPONSOR RADIO SPONSOR The 10:00 WRHL (1060 am) radio broad-
cast this morning is sponsored by Mark and

parents, Rudolf and Else Metzger and their
