Passchendaele

• Passchendaele was one of the war's worst battles. The unspeakable conditions led to terrible losses -- nearly 260,000 Allied casualties, including over 15,000 Canadians killed and wounded. This suffering didn’t produce much except it did help wear down the German forces more than any other battle. Passchendaele represents the horrors of WW1.
