Urquizo World Language Curriculum We integrate the social studies standards and content into Kindergarten—3rd grade Spanish class. In 4th grade, some social studies and other content areas are integrated into Spanish class. All students receive 30 minutes of instruction three times in each six day rotation. Every year your child will learn about a new Spanish-speaking area of the world. In Kindergarten, they will learn about Cuba. In first grade, they will explore Honduras & Central America. In second grade they will learn about Mexico. In third grade, they will focus on Spain. In fourth grade, they will learn about Peru in South America. Plan de Idioma Mundial Integramos los estándares de estudios sociales en la clase de español en los grados de kinder hasta tercero. En el cuarto grado, algunos estándares de estudios sociales y otras temas están integrados. Los estudiantes reciben 30 minutos de instrucción, tres veces en cada rotación de seis días. Todos los años su niño aprenderá acerca de una nueva área hispanohablante en el mundo. En kinder, ellos aprenderán acerca de Cuba. En el primer grado, ellos explorarán Honduras y América Central. Escucha palabras en español que que suenan como palabras en inglés (no = no, respeto = respect, súper = super, carro = car) Mira las fotos. (fotos, mapas, tarjetas de vocabulario) Mira las acciones y expresiones faciales. (movimiento, emociones) Mira lo que los otros estudiantes hacen. (sigue las acciones de otros en actividades)
