Besides device condition (analogue value), panel monitors device presence and type in order to report any installation change that might be unwarranted. This control is required by EN54.
Communication between panel and devices is supported by proprietaryprotocols which enable information flow in token ring topology.

• In a Chameleon Network, a Chameleon Repeater is a “Global System Repeater”.
• It works as a complete addressed master panel and processes “all system” info. It is a Panel “without devices” or Sounders.
• With and without PSU.
• Necessary to close communication ring.
• RS422, TCP/IP & Fiber-optic communications.

• Everything that is displayed in the Panel “Front end” are copied to the “Chameleon Display”. It acts as a “mirror”.
• Doesn´t have a dedicated network address.
