Introduction The purpose of the Service Learning assignment was
to volunteer with a community program to develop professional
goals, accountability (both personal and professional), and to grow
self-development. Service learning was promoting and presenting
world breastfeeding week, 2014, with Women, Infants, and Children
(WIC) of Taylor County, Florida.

Agency Description WIC Is a nutrition program that is federally
funded. WIC provides many services free of charge. WIC is available
to pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and
children up to five years old. WIC is available in every state and
has higher income guidelines than most other government programs.

Why Service Learning? Service learning is supplementing with
the use of community service that is useful to course material

program because many classes are based on community health and
wellness and promoting health within the community The purpose is
