IFC FY06 Power Sector Investments

IFC's Infrastructure Department did $360M in 10 power sector investments in FY06

Renewables- Four projects totaling $87.45M involved RE

Of the six remaining projects totaling $272.6M two are natural gas-fired power generation & two are diesel

IFC's financing is not supporting Greenfield coal-fired power generation capacity

Used for retrofitting existing coal-fired power plants with flue gas desulphurization equipment to reduce pollution.
