Case Studies

Greggs PLC is the largest retail bakery chain in theUnited Kingdom.

Since its humble beginning as a Tyneside bakery over 70 years ago

they now sell to a million customers a day through 1,500 stores.

The Brief

Greggs needed a uniform for their 14,000 plus staff across the UK.

The uniform brief was to portray a professional and consistent image

whilst being suitable for use in the individual departments conditions

(bakery, retail, transport or cold store).

Due to the large volume of staff, uniform ordering needed to be a

simple and efficient process which can be controlled by central

personnel but used by individual branches.

The Solution

From the initial brief we took part in project meetings and wearer

trials to ensure the bespoke design of the uniforms would meet

their needs.

Once ready to launch the new uniform we setup Greggs on our

Managed Accounts service which includes a dedicated account

manager, assigned warehouse staff, next day delivery to store anda bespoke online account management system. The online system

allows individual branches and departments to order uniforms to

their needs and head office to access a wealth of information and

remain in control.

Workwear Express has been dealing with Greggs since 2005 and

we are now onto the third incarnation of their uniform.

Case Studies

Faurecia is a leading specialist in the engineeringand production of automotive solutions.

They are global leaders in automotive seating, emission control

technologies, interior systems and automotive exteriors. Theyoperate in 33 countries with 75,000 employees working across

238 production sites.

The Brief

Faurecia, one of the largest international automotive parts

manufacturers in the world, approached Workwear Express to

help them source and supply a range of workwear and uniforms

solutions.

Faurecia were looking for a range of clothing which would cater for

a range of job roles, including warehouse, distribution, office, to be

fit for purpose for each job role, it was essential that each garment

reflected the brand and its values.

Faurecia also had a set timescale and budget for Workwear

Express to work to.

The Solution

The team at Workwear Express worked closed with Faurecia

to provide an end-to-end solution including briefing, design

consultation, fabric and garment selection and an ongoing

dedicated account management infrastructure to provide full

personalised support.

Everything was achieved on budget and on time. The company

now has an up to date wardrobe of apparel and has been partnering

with Workwear Express since 2002.

Case Studies

Hearts FC

Workwear Express was chosen to produce a range of printed

T-shirts for Hearts of Midlothian Football Club. The aim of the

T-shirts was to promote their cup final game at Hampden Park,

Scotlands National Stadium.

Dedication

The Scottish cup semi-final was on a Saturday. The club only

wanted the tshirts if they won so we had to have our team on

standby waiting for the result to then print the 3000 t-shirts over

night so they could be sold instore and online Sunday morning.

We got the job done, delivered the t-shirts to Edinburgh for 5am

the Sunday morning. A great team effort.

Workwear Express worked with Hearts to create T-shirts with

printed slogans such as Hearts are going to Hampdenin their

team colours of maroon and white. The T-shirts were available to

buy on their online store.
