I t is quite ironical that despite dynamic technological advances, our people remain to be the most important asset for our organizations. And this has been a known and acceptable fact in the recent decades gone by. Yet, one of the studies shows that only 13%* of manpower is engaged globally and the rest are either not engaged or are disengaged. And this is despite increasing employee engagement budgets (and pizza parties) year on year. Employee engagement is often misunderstood as happiness; happiness too is not rightly understood in the true sense. Training budgets on employee engagement are seeing rapid increase and yet 75% of people voluntarily leaving jobs don’t quit their jobs, they quit their bosses. 90% of leaders think an engagement strategy has an impact on business success but barely 25% of them have a strategy. For once it is not good to be a part of majority. Yet, it’s not too late. First, thank you for conducting another truly educational workshop. I must say, I being involved with employee relations really gained a major learning from this workshop. All along I thought our organization is aligned when it comes to the aspect of Employee Engagement. Surprisingly, we have to work on how to genuinely achieve and carry out the true meaning of Employee Engagement.

Once again, you had all of us engaged in the workshop and continuously changing the paradigm. And I expected that and that is a good thing. I realized that in the future, all the take-away will definitely be used especially when we start giving emphasis to Organizational Development, where I can share these learnings to our current and future managers, who would in one way or the other be in the situations you have given. Hence, in my own little way, I hope to achieve some positive changes in our organization and contribute more success to the latter. And that is my goal.

I look forward to attending more of your workshops in the future! It’s always my happiness to attend your workshops!

First and foremost, thank you for the workshop. I would say 2 thumbs up. It exceeded my expectations because 70% of what you shared is newly added knowledge for me. It also aligned my thoughts on how to become a more effective manager. Due to this, I’m about to implement the GROW coaching with my direct reports as well as share with them the importance of being an Advocate and Committed individuals at work and in life. The grouping system during the activity is good because it entails everyone to participate.

By the way, I just want to share with you that in our office, I provided a teach back seminar last August about The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to our dear supervisors across all the departments. Forgot to mention this to you personally yesterday during the picture taking.

Once again, on behalf of my colleague in ECIQUEST, I sincerely thank you for sharing your knowledge, skills and experiences that will hone us leaders to create good and positive climate in our office setting.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and valuable experiences during the workshop. A lot are very insightful and enlightening to us and I’m definitely sure that everything will be applied on our day-to-day life more so as we try to become more effective leaders in our respective careers.

Wishing more success to your future workshops. I will surely refer you to our management team.

Just want to let you know that the training program you provided worked well for me. The team I am handling right now has become responsive and engaged. If asked if it was 100% successful, I would say maybe around 50%, which is better since this is the third week that I have applied what you have taught us. I am positively looking forward to get that 50% to maybe around 70% and up to 90% by the end of the year. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and tips!

Thank you, for inviting us to your workshop. It was truly a blessing to be part of it. It was an eye opener for me. I’ll definitely use my learning today.

It was such another great experience to be part of your attendees to the Managerial Effectiveness Program. A lot of eye-openers for me and reflection in terms of where I am right now and how I am feeling vs to how I can help myself and my team reach our goals and contribute to the company’s objectives. Thank you so much for the opportunity you are giving us to learn more and be more useful in terms of our roles in the company – in making a difference.

You’ve always been sharing your thoughts and those are very inspiring. I recently took on a new project – the domain is new and the team. I see a lot of potentials and also opportunities. I learned that people expect me to immediately impose discipline as some know me to be strict and (sad to say) a terminator.

However, it turned out to be opposite. I started sitting down in FGD, listening to people, going to floor, blending with the team, connecting with people while I do my job in the background (meetings, SLAs, process improvement, PnL, growth, etc.). Slowly I am building relationship with the leads and colleagues…one day at a time…also with the support departments who are crucial in all the requirements of the account.

The same goes on a personal level. I realized my relationship with my husband and kids is improving. In fact, my kids told me that their friends found me to be a very kind parent.

All glory belongs to God though.

Thank you for having us participate in your workshop. I have most especially enjoyed the topic on employee engagement, and it has made me realize that this is something I need to consciously make an effort on to consistently carry out in order to maximize the potential of my team members.

The topic on performance management interested me, among other covered areas. Hopefully, there will be a training focusing on this in the future and we’d be fortunate to be invited again. :)

After the session yesterday, I feel revived and hopefully I can sustain this kind of feeling or at least the attitude to be more positive as I know it will not only help me but the people around me.

It’s really a pleasure for me to attend the seminar you conducted yesterday; seriously you can help change people to become better individuals as a result will impact others as well.

I would like to say, thank you very much for things you have shared when I attended the workshop. I came to realize many things as a Manager. I have learned a lot though. And I will make sure I will pass the learnings to the people under me. As a matter of fact, I will be facilitating a training in our company, and might discuss some of the things I have learned during our workshop. I will impart to them the new things I have discovered on how to become a more effective manager/leader. You were able to discuss things that are essential and will greatly impact the decisions/actions/characteristics of a good manager. All in all, the workshop you facilitated was great and I am looking forward to attending one again in the future.

christian B. caBalza Operations Manager, ECI Quest

Thank you very much for the insights that you provided., I learned a lot about Employee Engagement and that our presence and connection with our direct reports will enhance their experience and will significantly affect their performance. Because of this, I look into myself as an instrument of change to improve the environment we have now in the workplace.

Indeed, you help us to see how we can be a catalyst to make our workplace a better place to work.

Thank you for your gift of sharing knowledge with us. The workshop definitely made an impact on me as my eyes are more open on positive things and I try to block the negatives. Of course, the best takeaway I had yesterday was to smile at anyone and everyone… I think I was already smiling at most of the people in my workplace even before but definitely it’s not always genuine.

I wanted to practice having a positive work day event that would not only make my whole day great but that would also make a positive impact on others.

It was a pleasure attending your workshop. I’m a relatively new manager and the learnings are sure to be of great help as I move along especially in leading my team and allowing each individual to grow.

Although, what we learn were indeed paradigm shift, I know that starting small will allow everyone to see the improvements that we have envisioned. Hoping to participating in more sessions like this in the coming days.
