INTRODUCTION
This is your special opportunity to work with and gain valuable knowledge and
experience from one of England’s most successful and talented Kata competitors, England squad member since the age of 14 and current England Senior representative in both Individual and Team Kata.
This Competition Kata Workshop is unique, more than a common cliché course
and more than the same-old stale seminar. Developed to focus on the many aspects of competition performance not just spotlighting the Kata itself.
The workshop features many topics such as Mat Presence - covering presentation, confidence, tactics; Attitude - covering aggression, preparation,
motivation; and Rules – covering WKF rule etiquette from a competitor and referee perspective.
But it’s more than just a theory workshop, there are sections on Drills; covering speed & acceleration exercises, Kata specific plyometrics and fast muscle twitch
exercises, Technical Elements will involve breaking down katas into individual component executions, whilst the Finale allows participants an opportunity to
take center stage putting the workshop elements into practice. This workshop is designed to make the workshop participants explore what’s
behind the kata performance, what key elements deliver a winning performance and will help to develop those key elements.
The Kata Competition Workshop places are capped to deliver an enhanced participant-focused experience giving everyone involved greater exposure and
participation in workshop theory and exercises.

Competition Kata Workshop @ Your Dojo The Competition Kata Workshop is available to all instructors and students who are serious about competition kata and who wish to improve all aspects of kata
performance. I can deliver and present this workshop for any club instructor for their own students at their dojo or venue.
