• Discuss the type of clothes that the pupils like to wear when the sun is shining and it is a warm day. How do these differ from the clothes that they wear on a rainy day?
• Hand out the worksheets in order allocating an appropriate amount of time.
• Ask the pupils to label the clothes they wear in the rain.
• Extension Activities - 1A Ask pupils to label their drawings. 1B Pupils could cut out and sort the clothes then glue them onto a chart or record sheet.
• Questions you might ask include:
What kind of shoes, coats, trousers, skirts, etc are the children wearing to school today?
What are the colours of these clothes?
What clothes do you wear on a sunny day?
How do they keep you cool?
What other things keep you cool on a hot day? (drinking water, shade, swimming)
