WORKSHEET B - MEMORANDUM
The Seven Life Processes
All plants and animals carry out seven processes in order to stay alive. The table
below shows the seven Life Processes.
1.1. Select a description for each of these life processes from options A – G given
below and write the letter next to the life process.
Life Process Description
(select from A-G)
Movement E
Respiration G
Sensitivity C
Growth D
Reproduction B
Excretion A
Nutrition F
Options:
A Getting rid of wastes from the body
B Producing offspring (young)
C Sensing changes around and then responding
D Food is used to build up parts of the body
E This is easier to see in animals than in plants. Plants move very slowly as they grow.
