COURSE DESCRIPTION
This Demonstrate Initiative & Enterprising Behaviours module is designed to help the individual function effectively as an independent thinking adult in the workplace and focuses on the importance of initiative and enterprise in the context of his/her work scope, responsibility, accountability, authority and expertise.
This programme focuses on how an individual can demonstrate innovation and initiative to initiate and sustain continuous improvement at the workplace while identifying, evaluating and managing risks associated with innovating and taking initiative at an individual level.
LEARNINg OUTCOmES
Participants will experience and learn to:
1. Show initiative in identifying opportunities and goals for continuous improvement in workplace performance
2. Discuss with stakeholders on potential areas and/or practices for innovation at the workplace
3. Demonstrate innovative and enterprising behaviours to improve business performance in accordance with regulatory requirements and ethics
4. Review new initiatives for possible risks and recommend corrective actions and an appropriate strategy to deal with identified risks

Be it at the shop floor, factory or office, an employee is confronted daily with a variety of problems or issues that need to be resolved. An employee that is able to effectively manage and solve workplace problems will definitely be an asset to the organisation.
This programme focuses on how an individual can acquire the techniques in problem-solving and decision-making, including proactively identifying root causes to a problem, generating and evaluating alternative solutions, making appropriate decisions, and taking responsibility for the decisions within own circle of influence.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This programme will enable individuals to apply 5S procedures (a structured approach to housekeeping) to their own job and work area. This will include SEIRI (Clearing unnecessary items from work area), SEITON (Organising work area in an orderly manner), SEISO (Cleaning work area), SEIKESTU (Maintaining work area cleanliness) and SHITSUKE (Maintaining self-discipline in work area).
LEARNINg OUTCOmES
Participants will experience and learn to:
1. Conduct SEIRI in accordance with organisational pre-determined schedule
2. Check work area to correctly identify unnecessary items in accordance with organisational checklist
3. Label and segregate unnecessary items properly in work area in accordance with organisational procedures
4. Clear all unnecessary items from work area and place them at designated location or holding area
5. Dispose unnecessary items at designated location or holding area in accordance with organisational guidelines and procedures

WHO SHOULD ATTENDThe module is targeted at front-line workers at operations level, normally without any supervisory responsibility for others. Such workers may however be working in teams or be self employed. Some workers in supervising roles or in individuals in professional/talent positions without supervisory responsibilities and others may also find this module useful.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This programme will enable an individual to comply with workplace safety and health policies and procedures. These include follow safe work practices and risk control procedures; participate in workplace safety and health management activities; and follow workplace emergency response procedures.

Participants will experience and learn to:
1. Practise personal hygiene at workplace in accordance with the organisational procedures
2. Use and maintain personal protective equipment required for the work in accordance with the organisational procedures

This includes creating and modifying tables, queries, forms and reports, and preparing outputs ready for distribution, as well as learning to relate tables and to retrieve and manipulate information from a database by using query and sort tools.
