Integrated LLN training with vocational training for:

•Current employees to retain employment or progress in the workplace or

•Pre-employment training for IEP participants aligned to workforce requirements and tied to a relevant training package

What is WELL?

Who is eligible to receive WELL training?

Australian workers whose LLN proficiency is below the level where they are able to meet specific workplace requirements.

Who can apply for WELL Training Project funds?

Enterprises (including Government Business Enterprises);

Representative Bodies (Industry Training Advisory Bodies, employer organisations and trade unions);

Local Governments; and

Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

Demonstrates a need for the training in the workplace

Connects the training need with the training proposed

Provides a clear training model

Supports an industry specific endorsed Training Package

Uses appropriately qualified trainers

Incorporates information and communication technology

Paid in 2- 3 installments dependent on satisfactory performance and report

The Assessment & Approval Process

Against the WELL Program Guidelines and the training order of preference

Competitive process

Has an external recommendation process to the program delegate via the State Advisory Committee (SAC)

Notification & Reporting

On approval a letter of offer & two copies of the contract are sent

A report at 3 months

Second report at six months

Final report at 12 months
