In 2013, UN organizations across
the globe procured a total of USD
16.083 billion, which represents an
increase of 4.6% compared to 2012.
This working group, a forum for
cooperation and participation at
the UN Campus in Bonn, will focus
on UN procurement in the rescue
and mobile solutions sector and
involves the UN agency responsible
for humanitarian relief in case of
emergencies: WFP/UNHRD United
Nations Humanitarian Response
Depot based in Brindisi.
The purpose of this event is to
show European suppliers and
stakeholders what and how the
WFP/UNHRD procures in order to
facilitate the procurement
procedures for potential vendors
and UN procurement officers.
The technical staff will share
special needs and requirements in
order to work with companies on
the creation and realization of new
innovative products and solutions.
Technical Working groups in each
specific sector will stimulate and
motivate problem-solving for
humanitarian relief solutions.
A networking lunch will complete
the event.
Rescue and mobile solutions: Mobile solutions: mobile and semi-permanent structures like tents and containers, warehouses (also refrigerated for storing food and medicines) as well as offices and housing as long as they are light, practical and easy to erect.
Technical software equipment: GIS related software such as Mapping and Aerial data analysis for drones
Transportation: ATVs or light 4x4 Vehicles for the field, and light electric vehicles for the Hubs (like golf carts or similar)
Green solutions: Innovative sustainable equipment and supplies such as solar solutions, Hybrid Generators, LED Technology

PRACTICAL INFORMATION Time and place The working group rescue and mobile solutions will take place on May 5th, 2015 from 8:30 to 17:00 at the
UN Campus Bonn Platz der Vereinten Nationen 1 53113 Bonn “Altes Abgeordnetenhochhaus” Building, Conference Room AAH-EG Please note that all presentations as well as the technical working groups will be held in English.
Fee Participation fee is EUR 490.00 Included in the fee are participation in the working group, coffee breaks and beverages as well as a networking lunch buffet.
Participants Potential European Vendors from the rescue and mobile sector offering solutions for UN humanitarian relief agencies. Private companies, as well as technical institutes and stakeholders, are welcome (limited to one participant per company).
UN organization Representatives from the procurement and technical staff of WFP/UNHRD will take part in the working group.
