We are here to assist you in finding and keeping a job. We focus our efforts on helping you find a job that matches your work experience, skills and interests.

Partner Services Workforce Solutions offers a wide array of services to find, hire, train, and retain skilled workers.
Career Center Partners
• Austin Community College
• Skillpoint Alliance: For job seekers needing short term training
• City of Austin: For those interested in obtaining employment with the City
• Child Care Solutions: For workers and students needing child care services
• Gary Job Corps: For youth age 16 – 24
• Vocational Rehabilitation: For people with physical or cognitive disabilities, including blindness or visual impairment
• Texas Veterans Commission: Counseling and other benefits services

In addition to the wide array of services we offer to the general public, we can also offer City of Austin/Travis County residents Individualized Career and Training Services.
To help us determine the funding source best suited to meet your needs, please ask to schedule a pre-screening appointment with a Career Counselor.
If you reside outside of the City of Austin/Travis County,
please visit your Local Area Workforce office for additional options.

Who Can Participate
Individuals laid-off from workthrough no fault of their own
Receiving/ exhausted/ anticipating UI benefits, or
Displaced homemaker or are no longer self-employed, or
Mass Layoff / Permanent Closure
Individuals who meet income eligibility guidelines
Over 18 yrs in age, and
TANF/SNAP/SSI recipient (recent or current), or
Need for self-sufficiency
Income Eligible:
WIOA – 70% or below Lower Living Standard Income Level (LLSIL)
WERC – Below 200% Federal Poverty Level (FPL)

All Participants must be Eligible to Work in the United States.Additionally, males born after 1960 must be registered with Selective Service.
• Identity/Age information
• Authorization to work in U.S.
• Proof of Travis County residency
• Selective Service registration, if applicable
• One of the following:
o Proof of Layoff
o Past Six Months Household Income (WIOA)
o 30 days of consecutive paystubs for all working family members, no older than 45 days (WERC)

Targeted Occupations
Workforce Solutions Capital Area regularly analyzes the regional labor market, looking for industry and occupational trends. Based on this analysis, we have identified In-Demand Industries (like healthcare, skilled trades/advanced manufacturing and information technology), In-Demand Occupations (such as administrative and retail roles) and Targeted Occupations.
Targeted Occupations:
• Are in demand or emerging in the local economy
• Are experiencing growth, and
• Provide opportunities for high-skill, high-wage jobs18

Training Assistance may be available, based on funding and eligibility, for occupations and industries that are experiencing high-growth in the Austin area.
