Self-generating-energy high rise makes use of the wind to provide enough energy to power the building and give back to the grid.

The shape of the building provides the best environment to harvest wind power regardless of the location. Depending on the wind direction and speed the energy will differ, but the shape is design to generate much energy regardless of this flux.

The wind turbines are located behind the offices spaces of the building, this provides the offices space with maximum amount of daylight and minimize sound pollution from the turbine engines.

Natural pressure differences will force the air through the core, concentrating the wind force through the turbine avoiding unnecessary turbulence.

*Long Span Universal Context

This is project explores a long span structure in a universal context. It provides a roof system which promotes natural ventilation, and solar lighting control.

The structure is a space frame, which spans 94 meters and can be repeated as module. Each module is supported by 4 columns, and is divided into 144 roof top units.

Each roof top unit contains an ETFE cushion, insulated operable panels and a sun louver system. Between each roof top unit, there is an angled catwalk that serves as a gutter for water and snow runoff, and provides room for construction and maintenance.

The cushion can be opened for natural ventilation. The insulated panels can also be opened or closed base on the day lighting requirement of the circumstance. The louvers can be open from 0 to 90 degree depending on solar angle and room temperature.

Site is located on north of Detroit, Ann Arber, in the middle of Cranbrook Art institute.

The whole process visiting the site was remained me a fairy tale called "twelve dancing princesses". The story is about twelve princesses who live in a castle went out dancing every night, but nobody knows where they were going. The building been hidden in the forest people need to walk through an open style entrance under trees to get there. The Whole building visiting experience is base on that story.

The campus was a quiet medium scale campus. A performing art center which has an 80 feet fly tower build in campus will break the silence. So put the building in a lower ground lever, which like an landmark can be seen or noticed in a further distance but won't interrupt the expression of the whole campus will make the art center become a landmark for the entire area.

This project is supported by the Council of Tall buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) in Chicago and the Remaking of Mumbai Federation in Mumbai.

In India, religious doctrines dominate, from daily routine to matters of life and death. Death is considered on the most important sates of the whole human process. Currently, there is an effort to improve the spatial quality for the living. However issues related to the dad are seldom addressed. We created a high rise cemetery in order to free up precious ground floor cemetery green space for recreation. This creates a vertical resource for the handling and disposal of dead bodies, which would provide storage for the dead for a limited period of time, in order to ensure adequate capacity to continually accommodate new dead.
