Cover the microphone openings with adhesive tape. Medical

Cover the receiver opening with adhesive tape.

Insert a battery into the instrument (you can use discharged batteries as well).Sand off the lacquer from the entire shell with 320 grit sandpaper.

Max. rotating speed 10’000 rpm.

Use a razor blade and carefully apply pressure on the concha side of the instrument. The battery will block the razor blade from cutting the wires accidentally.

Take care not to damage the serial number.

Push the receiver tubing into the shell by using tweezers.

Separate the electronics from the shell.

3 Remove HiBan Antenna

Fix the hybrid with Fun-Tak putty. Turn the hybrid, so that the yellow tape points to the top.

Remove the yellow tape.

Unsolder the two HiBan litzwires from the hybrid.

Peel off silicone residuals from faceplate and hole by using tweezers and/or scalpel.

Dispense silicone 734 into the HiBan cavity, Approximately ¼ of the cavity shouldbefilled!

Take a new HiBan antenna and insert the HiBan antenna upright into cavity.

Direction of the HiBan wires should always be directed opposite of the battery door hinge pin.

Inspect amount of silicone.There should be a small amount around the HiBan antenna without adhesive flowingontoneighboringcomponents.Add silicone or wipe off excess silicone if necessary.

Ensure that the antenna is mounted in a right angle to the faceplate surface.Ensure that the HiBan is properly seated, about half of the coil winding should be covered by the faceplate Allow 15 minutes for air drying of silicone adhesive before further processing.

Solder the two Hiban coil wires to the pads.

Coat the solder joints with green lacquer. Let it dry for 2 minutes.

Cover the solder connection by a yellow single sided tape (3 x 2.5mm).

Set the WFT device to test mode “P3 HI WFT – ON”.Insert a full battery and connect the receiver to a proper stethoclip.Hold the faceplate in correct position to the distance gauge.A pure tone (buzzing sound) should be heard as a clear sound through the stethoclip without any signal interruptions, perform the test for at least 5 seconds.

Test to be done on a wooden table. No metal or electromagnetic source in a radius of 20 cm.

It’s not allowed to start to measure closer than the minimum distance and move to requested distance!
