What is work experience?• A placement on employer’s
premises in which a pupil carries out a particular task …as would an employee, but with the emphasis on the learning aspects of the experience

What can you do to help?• Be PROACTIVE:Find your own placement
• Be EARLY: Get your form into student reception before 9th October
• Be REALISTIC: Work experience is about experiencing the work force not your future career.
Important Facts
• All placements must have ‘Employers Liability Insurance’
• All placements must be Health & Safety checked by Trident
Key Facts
• Placements are issued on a first come first served basis
• No form = unlikely to get a placement• Medical Information must be included on the
form• Not all students will have their first choice
placement due to competition

• 9th October – Application Forms handed in• If selecting an out of county placement
