NOTE: WORDSMITH prelims and finals are to be held on the SAME DAY

This competition would test the vocabulary skills and spellings of the contestants.

Each School to nominate 6 students. It is an individual event and not a group event.

The students nominated by the School would be between Class 5 – 6.

Written Preliminary screening round will be held on 4th July 2016.

Top 8 students from the Prelims will qualify for the finals on the same day.

Top 2 students at the finals will win Prizes. Participants should be in their school uniforms.

AUDIENCE: There would be several audience prizes during the final.

QUIZ (For Class 7 & 8)

Format and Rules

5th July 2016: Quiz Prelims and Finals Venue: NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bangalore | Reporting time: 9.00am

NOTE: Quiz prelims and finals are to be held on the SAME DAY

Each school to nominate 5 teams of two members each. The teams nominated by the school would be between classes 7 – 8. Preliminary screening round will be held on 5th July 2016. Top eight teams from the prelims qualify for the finals on the same day. Top two teams at the finals will win prizes. Participants should be in their school uniforms. AUDIENCE: There would be several audience prizes during the final.

PRELIM: A written preliminary round will be conducted for all the participating teams. The

preliminary round will consist of 20 questions. It is a team event, so each team would be given one answer sheet.

FINAL: The top 8 schools from the prelim will qualify for the final. The final round will be hosted by Pickbrain.

Contestants who do not arrive on time shall be disqualified. Schools are requested to make their own transport and lunch arrangements. Students must carry their official identification cards, a pen / pencil. To register, please fill the enclosed entry form and email it to [email protected]. Entry

WAR OF WORDS (WoW) (For Class 9 & 10) Format and Rules

4th July 2016: WoW Prelims | 5th July 2016: WoW Finals Venue: NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bangalore | Reporting time: 9.00am

Each School to nominate ONE speaker. Participants should be in their school uniforms. The speaker nominated by the School would be between Classes 9 & 10. Preliminary screening round will be held on 4th July 2016. Top eight speakers from the Prelims will qualify for the final on 5th July 2016. Top two speakers at the final will win prizes.

PRELIM: The student nominated from each school will report for the prelim on 4th July 2016. The preliminary round would consist of a Group Discussion followed by a Personal Interview (ONLY for the short listed students from the Group Discussion). Based on this, judges would arrive at the Top 8 Finalists.

FINAL: The top 8 FINALISTS from the preliminary round will compete in the finals, to be held on 5th July 2016.

Contestants who do not arrive on time shall be disqualified. Schools are requested to make their own transport and lunch arrangements. Students must carry their official identification cards. To register, please fill the enclosed entry form and email it to [email protected]. Entry

Round One Kick Start

The finalists get TWO minutes each to present their point of view based on a topic which will be given to them on Day 1.

Round Two WALK THE TALK

This is a moderated discussion where the finalists will be given a topic and they need to articulate their point of view. This round is more like a Group Discussion but with the intervention of the moderator (Like NDTV’s Big Fight).

Round Three ANALYZE THIS!

This is an interpretation round where the finalists will be required to give their point of view on a given set of clues.

Round Four JURY TIME

This is the final round wherein the judges will question the finalists, based on what the finalists spoke, or their profiles.

YOUR BIG IDEA The Entrepreneurial Challenge

(For Class 11, 12 or PUC)

Format and Rules

4th July, 2016: Finals Venue: NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bangalore | Reporting time: 9.00am

Each school will nominate ONE team consisting of two participants. The contestants nominated by the school would be from classes 11, 12 or PUC. Each team will have to submit a proposal about an innovative business idea by 20th of June, 2016.

A format for the same will be provided. Top two teams will win prizes. Participants should be in their school uniforms or formals.

Stage 1: 16 teams will be shortlisted from all the schools that apply, after an initial round of

screening of the proposal.

Stage 2: The shortlisted teams will present their ideas in no more than 10 MINUTES to a panel of judges on 28th June 2016 at ST. PAULS English School, JP Nagar, Bangalore from 10am. Note : Skype interviews will be held for the outstation teams.

Stage 3: Top EIGHT teams will qualify for the finals on 4th July, 2016, where they will present their ideas in no more than 10 MINUTES. The judges will question the finalists based on the teams’ presentations.

Contestants who do not arrive on time shall be disqualified. Schools are requested to make their own transport and lunch arrangements. Students must carry their official identification card. To register, please fill the enclosed entry form and email it to [email protected].
