Lemieux ’85 was inducted into the Tyrus R. Tymm Honor Registry during a dinner and ceremony at Christophers World Grille. Dr. Cathy M. Lemieux was inducted by Mr. Lynn Elliott ’73 a current Timm Registry member. Dr. Lemieux is recently retired after a very successful career that included positions of Associate Dean of Research and Associate Professor of Economics at Indiana State University, Economist and Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Head of Bank Supervision and the Regulation Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and since 2004, Executive Vice President of Supervision and Regulation at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Congratulations Dr. Lemieux on a successful career, and your induction into the Tyrus R. Tymm Honor Registry. Faculty Award On Saturday, Dr. Ed Rister represented our Department at the Texas A&M University, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, 63 rd Annual Convocation held at the Hildebrand Equine Complex. During the ceremonies, Dr. Joe Outlaw was awarded the Honor Professor Award . Congratulations Dr. Outlaw. Faculty Retirement Dinner On Tuesday evening I attended the Texas A&M University 2019 Faculty Retirement Dinner, At the Annenberg Presi- dential Conference Center. Two of our faculty, Dr. John Penson , and Dr. James Richardson , were honored at the event. Together these two honored members of our faculty have contributed 85 years of service to our department. Their contributions in teaching and research, and mentoring of our students will be hard to replace. Congratulations to Dr. Penson and Dr. Richardson. Staff Appreciation Week As a reminder, next week is staff appreciation week, and there will be all sorts of activities going on across campus as well as in the Department. Keep watch for announcements. I hope you all have a great Easter weekend.

Assistant International Marketing Manager, Potatoes USA is in the process of filling a new Assistant Interna-tional Marketing Manager position that has been created to support new international marketing programs. Assist the Potatoes USA Marketing Department staff to implement the international marketing programs that are designed to increase demand for U.S. potatoes in export markets. Compensation: $35,000 to $50,000 depending on experience. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, Paid Time Off and 401k. Location: Denver , CO. Starting Date: June 1, 2019. Visiting Professor or Instructor of Agr icultural Economics, Auburn University. The Department of Agr icul-tural Economics and Rural Sociology seeks a one-year, fixed-term visiting assistant, associate, or full professor (or instructor) of Agricultural Economics. The start date would be July 1, 2019 or August 1, 2019. The department will consider new Ph.D.s, ABDs, and more senior faculty seeking a sabbatical home. Visiting Professor of any rank re-quires a Ph.D. in agricultural economics or related discipline.
