Our Rectory had some storm damage as many of you have
had recently! Fortunately, the Rectory itself is fine and the
tree was cleaned up in a flash.

Here is Kate’s beautiful labor of love kneeler
She took over the task when my Carolyn was no
longer able to complete it. With love she dedi-
cated it to Carolyn’s though she completed the
work herself my family and I are everlastingly
grateful to Kate for her dedication.

From our Senior Warden
I would like to say thank-you to all that stepped up and offered to be on the Partnership Profile and Search Com-
mittee. Tony and I have put our heads together and chosen the following people to serve on that commit-
tee: Kate Berry, Barbara Linscott, Tony Sousa, Mike Bullard and Larry Johnston. This committee will move
forward and start meeting with the other representatives from the other churches.
Thank-you for your willingness to serve!
Gail Leland,
Senior Warden
Men’s Group, November! Our November meeting is on Monday the 18th at 6:00pm in the Parish Hall. Dinner
will be provided by Chef Steve and our speaker will be “our own” Sean Dwyer. Sean
will engage us in a discussion about his experiences as an actor in Hollywood. He
might even show us some samples of his work!
Men’s Group Christmas Party.
Our Annual Christmas Party will be held at the Town Hill Fire House on December
13th at 6:00pm. Chef Steve will present appetizers and dinner, and Santa will be there
once again for the Yankee. Swap. Plan some outrageous gifts and be there to sing, eat and make merry!
A “BIG THANK YOU TO All”
for your support of the Waste Not, Want Not Thrift
Shop this year. To our sorters, workers, donors and
shoppers, we are so grateful for you all. We have
many repeat customers in need who love our shop.
The shop is now closed and we are planning for the
Christmas Fair on Saturday, December
7th. Please hunt for any Christmas items you no
longer use and might like to donate for the Christ-
mas Collectable Table. Please leave them in the
Parish Hall. Many thanks and may God Bless you
all, THE ECW GALS
MDI Joint Episcopal Church Out-
reach committee This committee has been meeting monthly un-
der the leadership of Bill Krenicki, Church of
Our Father for 6 months. A number of ideas
have been shared by the three churches, but
moving forward on definite plans of action in
joint outreach has been hindered by limited and
inconsistent participation to date. While their
still may be time for some joint “together” ac-
tivity before the end of the year, it is important
to raise awareness for greater participation in
hopes of joint MDI Episcopal Church Outreach
in the future. The next meeting is scheduled for
November 21 at 5 PM.

Christmas
Outreach for 2019!
Christmas is coming. Once
again our church’s efforts
will focus on helping others
with gift giving, as well as
supporting the Fuel Fund.
We welcome past commit-
tee members to once again help; BUT we
hope others will be willing to assist. Please
let Jane Adams know your willingness to be
a part of this Outreach. So what is known
at this Point---The tree with gift tags needs
to go up on Nov 30 for the start of Advent
on Dec 1. The final day for bringing in
gifts for children at the Emmaus Center will
be Dec 16. Watch the weekly announce-
ments for further details as they emerge.
Above: Thank you for the stun-
ning arrangement by Janet Mery-
weather with beautiful hydran-
geas from the Dawson gardens!

AUTUMN
‘Tis Autumn here, the hills of home,
Are dressed in colors bright.
Some red, or green or golden brown,
Changed by the frost each night.
The sky is clear and very blue,
The moon is large and round.
A peaceful scene from day to day
A simple small Maine town.
I wonder if on foreign shores
On England’s hills and lanes
If the beauty of that Country
Can equal that of Maine.
I wonder if our “Doughboy” there
Is glad to think once more,
Of colored leaves and crystal lakes
And dream of woodland lore.
Even as he does his tasks
O’er land or ocean foam,
We know the thoughts that go with him
Are one of Maine and home.
He thinks of Mother, Sweetheart, friend,
Can see each one so plain,
They give him strength to carry on,
These country folk of Maine.
As he goes on to distant lands
His heart seems to grow light.
He knows that home is good old Maine
For this he’ll gladly fight
He’ll truly give his very all
For those who sit and yearn,
Watching and always praying
For every boys return.

Right: a special offering thanks
to Joann Sousa. A poem by
Agnes Salisbury that gives a
special nod and thanks to all of
our Veterans in the past and
now for all they and their fami-
lies sacrifice for us in Maine

area bells tolling Monday, No-
vember 11 at 11 am.
We wish you and your loved ones a
most enjoyable Thanksgiving.
Remember those who are not able to
enjoy a table of plenty and help at a
food program this holiday season
such as Everybody Eats at St. Dun-
stan’s in Ellsworth. You may find you
enjoy the volunteering and continue
