Online Catalogue

Wooloowin State School’s Resource Centre has an online catalogue. Our Library Management System is called Infiniti. Being online means that the catalogue can be accessed on computers, tablets and phones from the library, from the classroom and from home. To access it from any computer/device, students will

need to use their MIS ID and use the password: (see library staff)

Once students have accessed our school’s catalogue, they are able to view their current loans, make reservations and view resources held in our library. Our online catalogue can also be a gateway to the EQ ebooks digital library and to our school’s Wo rld Book subscription. Students can search by title, author, series, subject, keyword or genre. Simply select your

search by clicking on the down arrow and making your choice. Then type your search in this box. Click on search or press enter.

From home, students can access the ebooks and the World Book articles.

To access OverDrive, click on the OverDrive tab, to show the ebooks available. Click on the selected cover.

This will open a small window with details about the book.

Please note that once a student logs in using their MIS ID, they will only be able to see/borrow books which have

been deemed suitable (by Education Queensland) for your child’s stage of schooling. For example, if your child is

in Year 1, they will only be able to see books suitable for the Prep – Year 3 age group.

A new window will open, which requests that the student enter their MIS ID.

The student has now accessed OverDrive (see image on next page). Here a student is able to sample a book or

borrow the book. Remember to Sign Out when completed.

Students can go back to our catalogue, Infiniti, to access World Book articles. Click on the World Book tab.

Click on the article that you wish to open.

The article will open in World Books Kids.

By scrolling to the end of the article, you will be able to get a more detailed article in World Book Student if you

select the link. (Or the same article in Spanish or French, if you click on the other links.)
