Name Origination

“Wulfric” meaning Wolf Like or Wolf Power

Originated in Prussia which came to be the largest land mass contribution to the future German Empire.

Battle of Hastings 1066

• King William, following the Battle of Hastings, encourage immigration from Prussian areas of Germanic artisans to revitalize the economy after the war. The Wulfric’s landed in Lothian Region of Scotland and migrated south into England. Whereby the name became “englandized” into variations to include: Woolrich, Woolridge and Wooldridge.

• The center one is of Henry. Carved from Italian marble in Italy and cost $1,000

• The three statues at the back were carved in Mayfield by a tombstone maker

• The remaining statues were carved of limestone in Paducah.

• Total cost $6,000
