While the large percentage of embroiderers may prefer to use Plastic Tubular Frames for most of their embroidery production, relatively speaking only a limited number of standard

plastic frame sizes are available for their selection and use.

This presentation shows some of the many available sizes of wooden frames as additional options for those embroiderers who prefer to use Double Height (DH) Wooden frames over

plastic frames for various practical reasons and/or advantages:

1) Wooden frames provide tighter grip on hooped garments, thin, thick or even “slippery”!

2) Double Height wooden frames provide extra wall height for “Slip-Free” grip on all articles

3) Wooden frames usually feature a longer adjustment screw. Thus, the maximum openability of a wooden outer frame is typically more than plastic frames. This facilitates greatly in hooping even extra thick jackets, Letterman jackets, etc.

4) Allied offers a large number of options in wooden frame sizes for use based on various embroidery aspects, e.g. embroidery shapes, sizes, embroidery locations on garments, type and size of garments or articles to be embroidered, etc. As Allied offers more than 300 different wooden frame sizes, there are ideal frame sizes for all types of embroidery applications, simple or challenging. between the stitched seams of the arm holes of “S” and larger heavy wool jackets, making hooping much easier for single line name embroideries in this section. A typical larger jacket back frame would make hooping over the stitched seam sections much more cumbersome/difficult.
