Cartridge Wedges to Assemble Wood Frames -- NEW !!

AMS now offer Original Cassese Cartridge Wedges. These stainless steel wedges are not glue coated to prevent jamming and other technical problems. Thus, the wedges can be lubricated to (1) protect against rust, (2) allow better penetration into wood, and (3) continuously lubricate inner-workings of machine and maintain its longevity.

Each cartridge has 275 wedges, each box has 40 cartridges (11,000 wedges), each master carton has 6 boxes (66,000 wedges).

Hinged Sawtooth Hangers for Mylar Frames and Backing Boards with Slots

The AMS MH-1 Hanger has hinges that allow the sawtooth section to be easily bent for hanging on wall hook. These hangers have stabilizing legs to be used in one of two different fashions:

1. Slide legs between backing board and Mylar frame. (For best performance, the frame section engaging the MH-1 hanger should be affixed to the backing board.)

2. Or, extend sawtooth portion out from a slot cut into backing board while leaving the legs inside between frameload and backing board.

AMS Pneumatic Press

The AMS #AP-2 Press enables quick installation of self-fastening hardware onto backing boards and wood frames. Its work surface is made of a 12” x 18” (30cm x 46cm) steel plate that is 1/4” thick; a measuring tape is attached to the right and left edges. The press includes safety features of (1) a clear acrylic front guard, and (2) twin recessed buttons that activate mechanism only when simultaneously pushed by both hands of opera-tor. A 2” (5.1cm) stroke is preset and needs no depth adjustment. Use magnetic die heads listed on next page.The AMS #AP-2 Press runs via compressor at a recommended air pressure of 10-100 PSI (2.7 - 6.8 BAR) with a maximum force of 3610 LBS (1640 kgs) - 0.36 CFM. An adjustable pressure regulator and gauge are shipped with press, however a compressor is a separate purchase. Press dimensions are 19.5” x 18” x 17” (50cm x 45cm x 43cm); weight is 93 LBS (36.6 kgs).

AMS Flush Mount Hangers consist of two parts: One half (FM1) is attached to the wall with the security spring clip facing upward and the other half (FM2) is attached to the frame. Theses two pieces interlock when the frame is hung on the wall -- which insures a strong hold with security mechanism for heavy frames and mirrors. Wall Buddies -- Self-Leveling Picture HangersThese sturdy zinc-plated sawtooth hangers are screwed onto the upper corners of frames. Hanging frames level is made simple and quick with Wall Buddies, even when wall hangers are placed unevenly. They also help create a stronger join on the upper corners. Depending on the depth of the moulding, these hangers can be affixed upside down to ensure that the frame hangs flush against the wall.

Recommended screws AMS #F1207 or AMS #F1204 to be purchased separately (see page 35).

The AMS Standard-Fire Flexi Tab Tool inserts one Flexi-Point or Rigitab per press of trigger into wood mouldings to quickly clip frame load into frame. The nosepiece is designed to allow Flexi-Point insertion almost horizontally. The AMS Fitting Tool is a stapler with a special nose plate attached to ensure that staples are not driven completely into framing materials, which means the staples are kept extended about 50% above the installed surface. This tool is helpful when inserting staples to hold frameloads into backloaded frames (an inexpensive alternative to a Flexible Tab Tool).

AMS Self-Locking Protective Corners Made in the USA

AMS protective corners have tightly locking tabs to ensure a fit that will not result in corners popping off of frame -- no tape or staples required. These white-faced corners are made from sturdy corrugated stock and are stripped of waste to keep work areas clean and efficient. For over 20 years, AMS has offered the most consistent quality control on protective corners for picture frames.

Two types of protective corners are available:

(1) Adjustable-height corner formats to fit most frames, and

(2) Single-height corner formats for volume applications using frames with the same depth.

ADJUST-I adjustable-depth corners fold to lock over mouldings and cover 4 inches X 4 inches (10.16 cm) of the frame corner length with three adjustable depth (or height) dimensions of 1/2 inch (1.27 cm), 1 inch (2.54 cm) or 1-1/2 inches (3.81 cm).

186-SHIP

The AMS system for shipping framed art using 186-SHIP corrugated corners is simple and quick. Just staple one 186-SHIP corner onto a backing board and slide frame in. Then staple three more 186-SHIP corners on around frame to hold artwork into place during transport. Scores on the legs of the 186-Ship may be varied to use on many different frame heights.

These corners are natural kraft in color. Dimensions cover 3-7/8 inches x 3-7/8 inches (8.5 cm) frame leg length and 1-1/4 inch (3.18 cm) frame depth (or height).

MAT-II

MAT-II are galvanized steel corners used to reinforce mat board shipping cartons and protect mat boards from being damaged during transport. Their corners have been scored and rounded for a clean, yet safe 90-degree bend. One box contains enough corners to protect 22-25 sheets of mat board.
