Introduction
Hey Guys, let me introduce myself; my name is Mark
Bishop, if you’re a regular on Warrior Forum then you
might know me as simply; Bish. But in all honesty you have
probably never heard of me, full stop, and right up until
very recently that was just the way I liked it.
Yep I’ve kind of remained anonymous over the years because I do things a little
differently. You see just like all those successful Internet marketers you keep
reading about I too make a lot of money from the Internet. The difference is,
and this is the reason you probably won’t have heard of me; I am a niche
marketer.
So what is a Niche Marketer, well the term niche marketer could actually be
explained in many different ways, but I really don’t want to bore you rigid, so
let me tell you about my particular brand of niche marketing.
When I say that I am a niche marketer, what I am saying is this;
I actively search for little known, evergreen and often weird little niches and I
set about dominating them. You see these types of niches are largely
overlooked by the masses because everyone tries to do the same thing and
follow the same methods.
Now of course it’s 2013 and many marketers will tell you that niche marketing
has had its day, or it’s just not sexy enough anymore. And when I hear
comments like that, I just sit back in my chair and smile to myself.
So niche marketing isn’t sexy anymore! So what’s sexy to you? Sexy to me is
low competition, unsaturated markets with bags of traffic and eager buyers
looking for solutions which they will gladly pay for…. And that’s where I come
in!
I’ll cut straight to the point here, I am a full time niche marketer, it’s how I
make my living and I can tell you with complete clarity; Niche Marketing may
not be considered as being sexy by many, but it is unbelievably profitable.
Want to see how profitable?
Proof that Niche marketing is alive & well and Damned Profitable
Ok, the picture below was taken around April this year and is the result of just
one project based around what I call an embarrassing niche (more on
Embarrassing niches in just a moment).
In the following screen-shot you can see the daily earnings from one of my
Clickbank accounts.
And just below you can see screen a few shots of my weekly CB paychecks
(actually I get everything deposited directly to my bank now). To be honest the
screen shot at the top relates to one of my best projects but I have many more
smaller projects which I use different CB accounts for, take a look underneath.
Now I know that many if not most of you reading this PDF will have seen
similar screen shots just like the ones I am showing you now.
So let me state categorically that each and every screen shot I have shown you
above belongs to me, each of the weekly Paycheck screen shots is from a
different CB account (all owned by me). And all of these earnings relate to
niche marketing.
I could go on and on adding screen shots like the ones above to this PDF (albeit
with lower earnings) I actually have around 20 CB accounts.
But I won’t and No; I’m not showing you my earnings to gloat or brag. I’m
simply trying to prove to you that niche marketing is still very sexy indeed!
Is Niche Marketing for you?
One of the reasons I decided to put this little lesson on the forum is because I
see the same question asked over and over ‘How do I make money on the
Internet’. And the sad thing is that nearly everyone asking that question really
don’t have any idea.
They don’t have any particular skills, they don’t have a plan or any method in
mind, to be honest most of them are simply clutching at straws and hoping to
get rich online, just like everyone else seems to be doing.
Well, if that sounds like you, then here is my first piece of advice, and forgive
me if this sounds a little harsh; First of all making money online is only possible
if you treat your efforts as a real business.
Really; forget the get rich mentality and knuckle down. It’s true; you really can
make money on the internet and lots of it, but it isn’t an overnight thing like
many would have you believe.
Having said that I still maintain that Niche Marketing is by far one of the easiest
ways there is to really start making money fast, especially if you have a plan of
attack, which I am about to give you. So if you’re one of those guys or girls who
are desperately trying to figure out what to do in order to make money on the
internet, this might just be your lucky day.
Fast Track Niche Marketing
My business or to be blunt my success didn’t happen overnight, it actually took
me a good few years to get to where I am today. It took me a long time simply
because I really didn’t know what I was doing.
One of my biggest errors was continually entering the wrong niches which is
why I’m going to give you the heads up on what you should be looking for right
from the off.
There are literally thousands of weird or little known niches just waiting to be
capitalized on and they all have their own merits. But, if you are really looking
for a quick way in to profit I am going to suggest you begin by targeting
Embarrassing Niches.
So what’s an embarrassing niche and why should I start there?
Actually the answer to that is simple. It’s a niche in which people are
desperately searching for a solution to a particular problem which they find
too embarrassing to talk openly about.
Do I need to spell it out? There are literally thousands of people searching
every second of every day for that elusive answer to that embarrassing
problem and the only place they are happy or comfortable searching is online.
And when they find what they perceive as being the solution to their particular
problem, they will buy it in a flash. Think about it for a minute, can you grasp
what I am saying? These people are primed and ready to spend money. And all
you have to do is show them where to spend it.
Embarrassing Niches
Need a jolt to get those ideas flowing; OK here are a few niches to kick your
brain into gear. These are just examples by the way there are thousands more.
Examples:
Flatulance
Nail Fungus
Constipation
Warts
Spots
Anything to do with the male extremity (you know what I mean)
Anything to do with the female anatomy
Remember the more embarrassing the problem, the more people will be
searching online for a solution. It really is as simple as that.
Strategy
I’m going to keep this as short as possible, and you may need to read between
the lines here and there. But what I will tell you below is basically the corner
stone of my business
What to look for and where to look
By far one of the best places to look for the ideal product to promote is
ClickBank. Yep there are a growing number of platforms which are kicking CBs
a*s right now, but when it comes to weird and/ or embarrassing niches
Clickbank is still the place to go.
Checklist:
When searching for that embarrassing little niche on the ClickBank
marketplace I will suggest that you only consider niches which have two
or more products. If there is more than one product in a particular niche
then there is a good chance that there is a large customer base.
One of the products should have a gravity figure over 12 and preferably
below 25
One of the products should have been in existence in the CB
marketplace for at least 12 months.
Keywords
One of the most important, if not the most important factors required in order
to be successful in any particular niche is using the correct keywords. Targeting
the right keyword is the difference between making money in a week’s time or
having to wait for months or even years to see a return.
There are so many great tutorials on keyword research out there so I’m not
going to reiterate. What I will say is this:
Concentrate on a small number of trigger keywords. These are basically
keywords which warrant a response. You could also refer to them as buying
keywords.
Here’s a simple example;
What are cold sores (this one will attract tire kickers; I.e. they may not be
looking for a solution)
How to get rid of a cold sore overnight (this one is the trigger)
Understanding your chosen niche
One of the biggest failing points is entering a niche without completely
understanding it. Do your research first. Any content you produce should
relate to the audience. I’m talking about demographics here.
Let’s say you were writing content in an effort to pre-sell a breast enlargement
product. Who do you think is going to be looking for a solution and possibly
reading your content...
Yep, it’s going to be females, so don’t talk to (produce content) from a male
prospective.
Demographics
Not all niches are that easy to analyse in terms of who the biggest audience is.
You can often find out a great deal from sites like Alexa.com. Please bear in
mind that the information on these types of sites is not 100% accurate they
just offer an insight, kind of like a barometer.
Promotions
There are a number of avenues which you can use to promote a product in
your given niche as an affiliate. I’m assuming that you know what an affiliate is
and how to open a Clickbank account if not, well then you should head over to
ClickBank and find out.
So how do you get your link out there in order to start generating those
commission payments? Well, as I mentioned above there are so many avenues
you can pursue. And I have probably tried most of them.
Basically your success will depend on high quality content. And of course you
need to put that content in front of your audience.
So what are the options?
The options are diverse and varied but I will give you one piece of advice which
you should adhere to.
Fads, trends, loopholes even popular sites come and go. Things change
dramatically, and if all of your links are built into content which you have no
control over, then you are at the mercy of a third party.
Let me give you a very quick example:
Remember article marketing? More to the point; remember Ezinearticles? Do
you remember how easy it was to rank at the top of Google with your
Ezinearticle, providing you had done your keyword research properly?
I do; I spent hundreds and hundreds of hours and dollars writing or
outsourcing high quality articles to put on EZA and it was great, but I didn’t
control any of them.
And then out of the blue Google changes the game, EZA no longer has the
authority and most of my content vanishes along with EZA.
My point; third party sites are great while they are hot, but once they turn
sour, all of your hard work goes down the drain.
My suggestion based on my own experience.
Anything which you own and control is good news if you treat it right. For me
the number one method is blog ownership. I am talking about self-hosted
blogs such as WordPress.
Buy the right domain (based on the trigger keywords you chose (yes EMDs still
work)).
Add unique and interesting content often, make sure most (not all) of your
new content is optimized for your keywords.
Third party sites:
Yep they still have a role to play.
You can use high PR third party sites to both link back to your blog with
relevant content (which makes a fantastic backlink).
Plus; with a second link added to your third party content you can direct link to
the offer. The use of direct linking or having two different links in one piece of
content will differ between third party site, so you will need to check.
Two mediums which I often use for this process are PDFs distributed to the top
15 document sharing sites. And press releases which work fantastically well if
you get them right.
So let’s recap.
Your own blog based on a trigger keyword
EMDs work providing you build an authoritive site, 2 or 3 articles (posts)
won’t cut it anymore, keep adding and keep building.
Post high quality, unique and optimized content regularly
Use third part sites for duel linking where possible (use high quality
content)
Don’t fill your blog with affiliate links from the word go (it’s like a red
flag to a bull, Google being the bull in this case).
Never shot spammy links at your blog & I mean never.
Do not use underhand SEO or backlink tactics (it will end in tears)
If people like your site and read your content they will click your links &
you will make money, it’s as simple as that.
Conclusion
Sure, what I have just shared with you is the slightly simplified version. Yes you
will still need to learn how to do certain things along the way. But what I have
shared with you right here is an actual blueprint which when followed will
work.
Rules for success
Follow a plan, doesn’t have to be this one, but find a plan which is realistic and
follow it, stick to it and see it through to its conclusion. Treat your online
adventure as a real business. If you can adhere to these two simple rules then
you will make money I guarantee it.
I really do hope you find this short Niche Marketing lesson helpful, and please;
if you have a moment I would really appreciate a few words of support back in
the Warrior Forum thread.
Wishing you every success.
