A. BACKGROUND1. Womens life expectancy is higher than mens, so

there will be more women than men in elderlygroups, (Hanafiah, 1999).

2. Every women will definitely experience menopauseperiod in their life, (Masri, 2004).

3. The decreasing of estrogen often causes symptomsthat influence life quality, such as the increasing ofcoronary heart disease or Osteoporosis.

1. Womens readiness from 66 respondent is80,30% (53 people) enough readiness

2. The complaint from 66 respondent is 57,58%

(38 people) average3. There is a negative correlation betweenwomens readiness and the complaint thatoccur during the menopause period in

Maguwoharjo Village, Depok MunicipalSleman 2006.
