Foodsthat are rich in omega-3 atty acids, such as fsh, incombination with native vegetables and berries helpkeep obesity statistics very low. Scandinavians also eatgame birds and elk, which produce meat that tends to

Fatigue and minor aches and pains that oten come withaging can make exercise seem like a wrong activity or olderwomen to partake in. While every woman should discussher specifc physical condition with a physician, especially
i those aches and pains are persistent, adopting a sedentaryliestyle is not likely to make things better.
The misconception that aging women should save theirstrength and rest is one o the many myths associated withexercise and older women. The ollowing are a ew o themore popular myths that many women would be better oignoring.
Eercise is fr yunger wen, I need t rest.A sedentary liestyle isnt healthy or anyone, and aging
women are no exception. When aging women are inac-tive, their ability to do things or themselves and on theirown decreases. This includes daily and relatively simpletasks like watering the plants or taking the dog or a walk,or more strenuous activities like playing with their grand-children. Even i you cant go jogging like you used to,that doesnt mean you wont still beneft rom less difcultexercises.
Eercise increases y risk f injury.Aging women might ear that the more they exercise,
the more they may all and suer a serious injury. Howev-er, the opposite is true. Regular exercise strengthens mus-

cles and prevents bone loss while improving balance. This meansaging women who exercise are less likely to all. Even i you doall, your bones will be stronger and more capable o handling aall than an older woman who does not exercise at all.
I disabled s eercise is intless.Aging women beneft rom exercise, even those women who
might be disabled. Even i you need a wheelchair to get around, that doesnt mean you wont still beneft rom routine exercise.Women in wheelchairs can still do cardiovascular exercises, stretch and even lit light weights. Such activities can reduce risko heart disease while improving muscle tone and increasing rangeo motion.
Its t late t begin a new eercise regien. Its never too late or anyone, including aging women, to begin
a new exercise regimen. I its been awhile since you last laced upyour sneakers, start light with a walk around the neighborhoodand other activities that wont elevate your heart rate or proveoverly taxing. As your body gradually gets acclimated to exercise,
you can up the ante a little bit with slightly more challenging ex-ercises.
I t tired t eercise. As women age, some fnd they struggle to get a decent nights
sleep and mistakenly assume this is just a natural side eect o ag-ing. The ollowing day the resulting atigue causes some womento eel they are too tired to exercise. However, exercise can actuallyimprove sleep and helps many active people sleep more deeplyand without interruption. I you have been struggling to sleepthrough the night, use exercise to your advantage and you mightfnd youre suddenly sleeping much, much better.

Many women love to shop. Beit hunting down the perect pair oheels or scouring the stores or anideal evening gown, shopping is o-

Since the dawn o the Internet, more and more women have em-braced online retailers, choosing toorgo crowded malls or departmentstores in avor o shopping onlinerom the comort o home. As easyas online shopping can be, it alsocomes with more risk to a shoppersprivacy than shopping in person ata nearby store. It is a plus when our Aids have skilled backgrounds and/or experiences in facilities, howevergreat home care aids often do not have a skilled background but their experiences with other entitiesand the training they receive from our company make them exceptional.
Our staff development training is ongoing though out the year and monthly materials covers avariety of how to issues that enhance their skills and provides our clients the care they deserve.

deals to be had online, its important
women know who theyre buying
rom beore entering any personal
inormation and placing any orders.
Most shoppers eel saest when doing
business only with those online retail-
ers theyre amiliar with. However,
sometimes its necessary to buy rom
other Web sites. I so, research the sitebeore making any purchases. A repu-
table online retailer will boast easily
accessible customer service inorma-
tion, including a phone number con-
sumers can call round-the-clock i they
have any questions or concerns.
h with a credit card. Laws
exist in both the United States and
Canada to protect online shoppers
rom raud i their purchases are made
with credit cards. Americans, or in-
stance, are protected by the Fair Credit
Billing Act, which gives shoppers the
right to dispute charges on their credit
card and withhold payment while the
disputed charges are investigated. Use
this protection to your advantage by
using only credit cards to make online
purchases.play things clse t the vest. On-
line retailers will likely request a host
o inormation, only some o which
is necessary to complete a purchase.
Shoppers dont have to answer ques-
tions about their liestyle, income or
other personal inormation that has
nothing to do with their actual pur-
chase. Volunteering inormation about
liestyle or income oten leads to spam
e-mail that targets shoppers based on
their responses to unnecessary inqui-ries when buying items online. Only
fll out the bare minimum amount o
inormation when checking out.
Try t sh destic. Shopping
domestic, or buying exclusively rom
retailers located within your own coun-
try, is another way shoppers can pro-
tect themselves rom raud. Laws that
protect consumers may only apply to
purchases made within the same coun-
try. In addition, items bought online
rom another country are likely to cost
more money to ship.
A 2010 report rom the Nielsen
Company revealed that women are
more engaged in many online purchase
categories, including clothes, travel
and home accessories, than their male
counterparts. As women continue to
rely on the Internet or their purchases,
they must also continue to ocus on
protecting their privacy.
