Schelling was a perfect 2-for-2 in the shootout. She then stopped 20 more shots on Saturday as Northeastern downed UConn, 3-2 at Matthews Arena. Schelling

Boston College: Boston College tied No. 7 Northeastern, 1-1, in the opening round of the Beanpot, but fell in a shootout…the Eagles conclude the tournament on Tuesday versus No. 8 Harvard…BC is 0-1-2 in the last three games…the last time the Eagles went winless through four games was Jan. 27 to Feb. 9, 2010, the conclusion of the Beanpot…Alex Carpenter’s 27 points (14g,13a) are sixth most in the nation by a rookie…Jackie Young (6g, 10a) rates second in the league for defenseman scoring, while Dru Burns (3g, 11a) and Blake Bolden (6g, 8a) are tied at third…Corinne Boyles is 27 saves shy of becoming the fifth Eagle to ever record career stop number 1,400.

Boston University: The Terriers have won five straight games for their longest win streak of the year…With its win against Harvard on Tuesday BU won its third straight contest against a ranked opponent. The other two wins were against BC and Northeastern, who along with Harvard are the other three Beanpot schools…BU will face Northeastern in the Beanpot Championship game on Tuesday. Terriers last played in the title game in 2008, which was also the last time they hosted the tournament…Junior Isabel Menard had her first five-point game as a Terrier on Saturday (1g,5a). She had previously notched five points just once while at Syracuse, when she accomplished the feat on Jan. 8, 2010, against St. Anselm…Senior Jenn Wakefield has a career-best 12-game point streak (9g,12a)…BU has scored a shorthanded goal in three of its last four games. In those three games, the Ter-riers have also scored on the power play and at even strength.

University of Connecticut: UConn snapped a 12-game winless streak with a 6-3 victory over New Hampshire on Sunday...Freshmen Emily Snodgrass and Rachel Farrel each scored on the power play vs. Northeastern...Sophomore Nicole Paniccia started both games and totaled 62 saves, including 40 vs. the Huskies, her second straight start with 40 or more...Sophomore Stephanie Raithby posted a career-high three points (1g,2a) vs. UNH...For the first time this season, UConn committed zero penalties in its win over the Wildcats...Eight goals is a weekend-best for the Huskies this season...Six goals against UNH was the highest offensive output for the Huskies all season

University of Maine: The University of Maine gained four points over the weekend with a sweep of Vermont. Brittany Ott made a combined 43 saves on the 44 shots she faced, including her third shutout of the season on Sunday. Danielle Ward notched her 50th career goal in Saturday’s game. Five different Black Bears netted goals this weekend, while eight tallied assists. Since the break, Maine has compiled a record of 5-1-1 and is unbeaten in their last six games. With Sunday’s win, the Black Bears tied the mark of nine for most conference wins in a season.

University of New Hampshire: UNH has had the same starting lineup eight con-secutive games with Nicole Gifford centering Kristina Lavoie and Jenna Lascelle, Kristine Horn and Kailey Chappell on defense and Lindsey Minton in goal…The Wildcats were not whistled for a penalty Feb. 5 at UConn; the last time the Wildcats did not commit a penalty in a game was Oct. 21, 2007 vs. BU…Lascelle has recorded two assists in three of the last six games; she has 14 points (6g,8a) the past 10 games...Lavoie also has 14 points (7g,7a) the past 10 games.

Northeastern University: Boston College remains the only team on Northeastern’s schedule to have held freshman Kendall Coyne without a point; the Eagles have now kept her off the board three times in four games…Don MacLeod, whose .772 winning percentage (210-59-8 in 11 seasons at Northeastern) is second-best all-time in women’s Div. I hockey, will be inducted into the Beanpot Hall of Fame Tuesday night…NU will be seeking its 15th Beanpot title Tuesday night against Boston University, the most Women’s Beanpots of any school…Senior Florence Schelling is tied for the national lead with six shutouts.

Providence College: Future Friar Molly Illikainen, a member of next year’s incom-ing freshman class, has been named a semifinalist for the 2012 Minnesota Ms. Hockey Award…Saturday’s victory over B.C. was the Friars second over a nationally ranked opponent this season.

University of Vermont: Amanda Pelkey and Chelsea Rapin are tied for the team lead in scoring with 13 points in 28 games this season…Kellie Dineen leads the team with seven goals this season…The Catamounts trail New Hampshire by two points for the final Hockey East playoff spot…Vermont returns home on Saturday to host Boston U starting at 2 p.m. in a game that will be televised on WCAXtra…The Catamounts will honor their two seniors Kailey Nash and Chelsea Rapin on Sunday afternoon.
