FROM THE PASTOR

First Baptist Winnfield has always been about building the church. We

build the church by investing in people. This morning, the family

dedication service that you will see is about building the church one

individual and one family at a time. As our FBC family has grown, we

have built, expanded, or renovated to accommodate the growing needs of a

growing church. In 2014 FBCWinn began a journey to address some of

the needs of our church at that time. Now, three years later, we celebrate

paying off that debt that we incurred. God has blessed us with so much,

and as a church, you have been faithful with His financial blessings. What

began as a loan of $597,924.00 is now paid in full. Today we celebrate

God’s faithfulness to His people. We declare His goodness to the coming

generations. We align our hearts with the Lord and pray for the future

opportunities to build God’s radiant church. May God receive glory,

honor, and praise as we keep moving forward for Him.

Bible Study on Sunday Mornings If you are interested in becoming involved in a Sunday School Class at FBC, all classes begin at 9:45 a.m. for preschool, children, youth and adults each Sunday morning before worship at 11:00 a.m. Let us help you connect with the small group that is right for you. Food Pantry Items

The pantry items for October are cake mix and frosting, to be given for Thanksgiving. If you would like to donate, please leave your donations in the brown box located across from the kitchen. .

Sunday Night Bible Studies September 30 will begin our Sunday Night Bible Studies at FBC. The Armor of God will be the Women’s Bible Study and Act Like Men will be the Men’s Bible Study. Each Sunday night, September 30 through November 11, these studies will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 7:15 p.m. Youth and Adults may sign up at the Welcome Center Desk or in the church office. Books may be reserved for a $12.00 suggested donation. Bible Studies for Kids will also be available along with Childcare for those attending. Children’s studies will meet on the 2nd floor (Children’s Department). The Men’s Study will meet on the 3rd floor (Youth Department), and the Women’s Study will meet in the Family Life Center Gym.

Kids Fitness Camp at FBC begins Saturday, October 6th

Every Saturday, October 6th through November 3rd, FBC Winnfield will be coordinating devotionals with fitness activities led by Myles Fitness. Fitness activities include: speed and agility drills, cardio workouts, and strength workouts. The camp for children and youth is $10.00 per day; however, if you wish to attend the camp each Saturday, the cost is $40 with prepayment. Ages 5-10 will meet in the gym at 9:00 a.m. and 11-17 year olds meet at 10 a.m. If you are interested, please call Brian Myles or Sheena Myles.

I’m a Christian Now – Sunday, Sept. 30th

A new believer’s class for children who have been baptized will be offered during Sunday night Bible Study time. Please sign up in the church office if your child will be able to attend this class .

Bible Study Books Bible study books for the Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies will be available Sunday, September 30 . The books will be distributed before morning worship and before the studies begin at 6:00 p.m.

Youth Food and Dunking Booths at the Winn Parish Fair During the week of October 1st , our FBC Youth ministry leaders, parents, and students will be operating the FBC Youth Food and Dunkin’ Booths at the Winn Parish Fair. The booths will open Monday through Friday nights from 6:00 – 9:00. Proceeds from these booths will go towards our FBC Youth Summer Camps.

Send the Gospel to the Ends of the Earth Will you prayerfully consider participating in Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, this year? The opportunity for the Gospel is in these Shoebox gifts. Preprinted Shoeboxes are available in the church office, and may be picked up during weekday office hours or on Sundays. FBC is designated as a drop off location for National Collection Week in November.

Wednesday Night, October 3 There has been a time change for this Wednesday night at FBC . Please mark your calendars and make note that Sanctuary Choir rehearsal will begin at 6:00 p.m. Also, this Wednesday night our regular youth and kid’s activities, as well as prayer meeting, are cancelled, but will resume next Wednesday night, October 10.
