Opening Welcome and Keynote Address by Marianne Bronner, Albert Billings Ruddock Professor of Biology Having recently been elected into the National Academy of Sciences, Marianne Bronner studies the cellular and molecular events underly-ing the formation, lineage, and migration of neural crest cells. Profes-sor Bronner’s career is grounded in passion, and she is excited to set the stage for a day devoted to helping you find and follow your own.

How might you contribute to STEM? Visualize yourself in the midst of discovery! We Call Caltech Home: A Conversation with Administrators and their Role Supporting Women on Campus - Family OnlyFirst and foremost, Caltech is a community. Jarrid Whitney, the Executive Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, will sit down with administrators from across campus to discuss how young women find Caltech an encouraging and supportive environment to excel from mentorship to advising and the college transition. Techer Mingle - Student OnlyStudent life is a diverse and central part of the Caltech experience; after all, there’s more to college than problem sets. Come talk with Techers and hear their perspectives on pranking, clubs, socials, athletics, service, theater, music, Houses, and much more!

Women @ JPLA Panel of Leaders and Explorers The Jet Propulsion Laboratory is the only NASA site

operated by a college (yours truly) and is universally famous for its rovers and unmanned spacecraft. Meet some of the people responsible for those otherwordly achievements and discoveries, and emulate their contributions.

Final Thoughts with the Director: A Conversation with Jarrid Whitney As you reflect on today’s program, we invite you to join our Director for a brief Q & A. He will address any concerns you may have. With 20 years of experience at various private institutions, he will offer insights about the highly selective college application process, determining fit and focus, and ultimately how to choose the best college for you.
