where Feeling brave? pack a rucksack for a three-day challenge walking the nar Valley Way, norfolk. starting from King’s Lynn, the first day’s test is a 12.5-mile hike, which follows the river to narborough. rest overnight at Church Farm Holiday Home (churchfarmholidayhomes. com), where camping pitches start from £10pp per night. rise early for an 11.5-mile stretch to Litcham. You’ll pass ruins of a 12th-century priory and Litcham Common nature

where Ideal for the whole family to stretch their legs, this 1.2-mile Town Trail adventure takes you along the Dartmouth waterfront in Devon. Starting at the Dartmouth Higher Ferry, pass the lifeboat station and head to The Quay, where Sir Walter Raleigh once returned with treasures from captured Spanish ships. Meander through Cole’s Court and carry on along the river to Bayard’s Cove Fort, visited by the Pilgrim Fathers. where Combine both a countryside and beach break by walking between Maud and Fraserburgh along The Formartine and Buchan Way. Ease in gently to this two-day adventure at Maud, Aberdeenshire, by crossing the B9106 and following the old railway line. You’ll pass peaceful Newton Wood, before reaching Strichen after 5.75 miles. Stay overnight at The White Horse Hotel & Restaurant (white horsestrichen.co.uk) before continuing to Fraserburgh the next day. This 11-mile stretch passes Clayfords, with its white quartz horse on Mormond Hill, before eventually ending up at the pretty port town of Fraserburgh. Challenge yourself with an eight-mile walk from Dymock to Ketford, which has a mix of flat sections and hills to really work your leg muscles. it’s beautiful even after flowering finishes in late April. starting at idyllic st Mary’s Church, follow poets path until you reach Vell Mill Daffodil Meadow. where Head to Dinefwr park in Carmarthenshire, the only national nature reserve in Wales! This walk, great for beginners, starts at the Welcome Centre. You might see deer at some point, and spot newts and ducks as you venture by the river Tywi, where you’ll also pass the ruins of 12th-century Dinefwr Castle.
