Description:This change revises 5.6.1, Occupational Radiation Exposure Report, and 5.6.3, Radioactive Effluent Release Report, tobe consistent w ith NRC letter dated 7/28/95 by C. I. Grimes on changes to Tech Spccs resulting from 10 CFR 20 and50.36a changes.

Justification:NRC provided guidance on how to change the ITS in a proposed Generic Letter that wvas never issued. These changesreflect the rule changes.

The Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report coveringthe operation of the unit during the previous calendar year shallbe submitted by May 15 of each year. The report shall includesummaries, interpretations, and analyses of trends of the resultsof the radiological environmental monitoring program for thereporting period. The material provided shall be consistent withthe objectives outlined in the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual

The Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report shallinclude the results of analyses of all radiological environmentalsamples.and of all environmental radiation measurements takenduring the period pursuant to the locations specified in the tableand figures in the ODCM, as well as summarized and tabulatedresults of these analyses and measurements (in the format of thetable in the Radiological Assessment Branch Technical Position,Revision 1, November 1979]. [The report shall identify the TLDresults that represent collocated dosimeters in relation to theNRC TLD program and the exposure period associated with eachresult.] In the event that some individual results are notavailable for inclusion with the report, the report shall besubmitted noting and explaining the reasons for the missingresults. The missing data shall be submitted in a supplementaryreport as soon as possible.

This tabulation supplements therequirements of 10 CFR 20.2206. The dose assignments to various duty functions may beestimated based on pocket ionization chamber, thermoluminescence dosimeter (TLD),electronic dosimeter, or film badge measurements. Small exposures totaling < 20 percentof the individual total dose need not be accounted for. In the aggregate, at least 80percent of the total deep dose equivalent received from external sources should beassigned to specific major work functions.
